MVNU business students inspired to be gospel patrons

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Throughout history, men and women who had the financial means supported others to focus on God’s calling. Even Jesus had benefactors who subsidized his ministry. Modern-day patrons are believers who are compelled to give financially in order to grow God’s kingdom. This was the message Feb. 6, presented to students, staff, faculty and friends of Mount Vernon Nazarene University by John Rinehart, founder of Gospel Patrons.

Mount Vernon Nazarene University, in conjunction with Kenyon College and the Knox County community, will host the 17th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Breakfast on Monday, Jan. 20, from 9-11 a.m., in Foster Hall located inside Ariel Arena, on the MVNU campus. Reservations are required.
