MOUNT VERNON, OHIO — Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s Schnormeier Gallery is proud to present Gregory Spaid’s photographic exhibit, titled “Reading Trees.” This exhibit will be on display in the gallery from Jan. 11 to Feb. 22, 2019. He will be presenting an artist talk on Jan. 18, at 5 p.m., and the reception will follow from 6-8p.m.

MANSFIELD, Ohio — Edward Steffanni, a junior fine arts major at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, was awarded Best of Show for his oil painting “A Recently Washed Table" at the 73rd annual May Show at the Mansfield Art Center. The May Show runs through June 3. The Mansfield Art Center is located at 700 Marion Ave. Hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Justin Sorensen, assistant professor of art at MVNU, was recently recognized for his previous exhibition works. From September to December of 2017, his video work “The Foolish Builder” was a part of the exhibition “Since Then” at the Kamloops Art Gallery in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, which looked at “what it means to endure from a historical and contemporary point of view.”
