MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — The Martin Luther King Jr. Legacy Committee hosted the 15th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Breakfast on the campus of Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Monday. The event brought community members together to reflect and receive messages on “Racial Reconciliation through the Lens of Dr. King’s Legacy” from many different perspectives.

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Mount Vernon Nazarene University, in conjunction with Kenyon College and the Knox County community, will host the 15th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Breakfast on Monday, Jan. 15, from 9-11 a.m., in Foster Hall inside Ariel Arena on the MVNU campus.

Nashville, Tenn. — The Contemporary Music Center Live Tour will be visiting Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017. The CMC Live Tour is a completely student-run show that presents a number of artists performing in various genres including rock, pop, rap, country, and more! This FREE show will take place in Thorne Performance Hall at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017.

MVNU Theatre Presents “The Matchmaker”

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s theatre program, MVNU Theatre, presents “The Matchmaker” written by Thornton Wilder and directed by Keely Heyl. Wilder is best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning plays “Our Town” and “The Skin of Our Teeth.” In this comedic play that inspired the musical “Hello, Dolly!,” a wealthy merchant hires a matchmaker to help him find a wife. Hilarity ensues as she becomes entangled in mischief with two of the merchant’s clerks, several ladies, and a pair of waiters at the finest restaurant in town.

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — SonFest, Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s annual outdoor Christian music festival, celebrated its 20th Anniversary of fellowship, community, and Christian music and welcomed thousands of fans to the Grove of the MVNU campus on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017. Christian music artist Plumb headlined the event along with many other bands.

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Mount Vernon Nazarene University will host the 12th Annual Festival Latino on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, in the Prince Student Union from 4:30-8 p.m.  The event and program will feature musical guest Dan Ramirez from New Albany First Church of the Nazarene. This event is free and open to the public.

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Mount Vernon Nazarene University will host Dr. Steven McMullen in honor of Constitution Day on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the Jetter School of Professional Studies, Room 133. McMullen’s talk will focus on the question “Can American-Style Individual Ownership Protect the Environment?”
