MVNU to host Central Ohio Honors Choirs

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Mount Vernon Nazarene University will host the 2018 District 10 Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) Honors Choir Festival on Saturday, Nov. 3. The event will showcase young vocalists from 15 participating schools in Ashland, Coshocton, Delaware, Holmes, Knox, Licking, Morrow and Richland counties.

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Mount Vernon Nazarene University will host Dr. Vika Rai in honor of Constitution Day on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m., in the Jetter School of Professional Studies, Room 133. Her talk will focus on “Local Climate Politics: Predictors of Adaptation Planning in Cities Across the United States.”

Instrumental ensembles to perform for MVNU Family Weekend

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Flute Choir, Chamber Winds, and Jazz Band will present a concert for MVNU’s Family Weekend on Friday, Oct. 19, at 5:30 p.m., in the R.R. Hodges Chapel Auditorium, 800 Martinsburg Road, Mount Vernon. This concert is free and open to the public. The community is invited at 5 p.m. for light refreshments prior to the concert.

MVNU’s SonFest 2018 Lineup Announced

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — SonFest, Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s annual outdoor Christian music festival, will take place on Saturday, September 22, from 1-9 p.m. in The Grove at the MVNU campus. Lecrae will headline the event with numerous other bands on two stages throughout the day.
