Special Edition NOW posted online

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — What’s been going on at MVNU since the beginning of the pandemic, you ask? A special edition of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Alumni and Friends Magazine, NOW, is available to answer your question.

The digital magazine focuses on the university’s response to the global COVID-19 event. First-person accounts detail not only the methodical steps taken to ensure the safety and well-being of the MVNU community, but explore the emotions felt across campus as the university transitioned from in-seat classes to remote learning in March at the urging of Gov. Mike DeWine. This issue also celebrates the Class of 2020 as God’s faithfulness continues to grace MVNU.

In the magazine you will hear from:

•President Henry W. Spaulding II, Ph.D.

•Tracy Waal, Vice President for Student Life

•Brad Kochis, Executive Director of Alumni Relations

•Beth DaLonzo, Associate Vice President for Enrollment

•Dr. Carol Dorough, Dean of School of Nursing and Health Sciences

•Rev. Stephanie Lobdell, Campus Pastor

•Tony Edwards, Director of Facilities & Safety Operation

•Dr. Christina A. Jones, J.D, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice; and others.

In addition, you will see how MVNU alumni found ways to Shine Forth during the pandemic.
