OUTSIDE Exhibition by Creative Arts of Women coming to Schnormeier Gallery
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — “Outside” art exhibit will be on display at Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s Schnormeier Gallery June 28 to Aug. 16, 2017.
A reception for the show will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017, from 6-9 p.m.
In this exhibition, Creative Arts of Women (CAW) explores the external forces and exterior surfaces that make up the world — whether structural, anatomical, or metaphysical. Each artist wrestled with the theme of “Outside” through her own lens resulting in a diverse view of what makes up the world outside ourselves.
This exhibition continues a conversation begun by CAW in March with their “Inside” exhibit at the Cultural Arts Center in Columbus, Ohio. “Inside” was an exploration and reflection of the multiple meanings of interior spaces.
The Creative Arts of Women is an open-membership group based in Columbus, Ohio. The objective of this group is to support each member in her individual career, be involved in community service, have group shows, share new work, and network.
“Outside” will be on display at Schnormeier Gallery weekdays from noon to 4:30 p.m. For more information on this exhibit and others coming to Buchwald Center visit mvnu.edu/events.
