MVNU’s accounting program ranked as one of top in the nation

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s accounting bachelor’s program was recently selected as one of the top in the nation by AccountingEdu.org.

MVNU was ranked the best bachelor’s program in Ohio. According to AccountingEdu.org, first-time CPA exam pass rates, course delivery options, career services as well as other factors, were used to determine the best accounting education options for potential students.

“The accounting program in the traditional business department has a long history of offering an excellent curriculum and graduating well-prepared, aspiring accountants,” said Kelly Rush, Associate Professor of Finance and Business Department Chair at MVNU. “Our accounting majors are equipped to serve the Kingdom as public and private accountants, auditors, and tax-preparers in small-businesses, large corporations, and not-for-profit organizations.  I am always impressed by our outstanding accounting faculty, Dr. James Dalton and Professor Timothy Chesnut, who invest in students both inside and outside of the classroom.”
