MVNU varsity men’s volleyball to be introduced in 2019-20

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — As the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Athletic Department continues to expand, varsity men’s volleyball is set to be implemented beginning in 2019-2020.

Men’s volleyball will be a scholarship sport, and those interested in competing for the Cougars can get a head start by filling out a recruit form, as permanently stored at

MVNU women’s volleyball is one of the NAIA’s most storied programs, and entered 2018 ranking fourth amongst all NAIA programs in all-time wins with 1,216. The addition of men’s volleyball at MVNU affords volleyball fans the opportunity to enjoy the sport nearly year round, as the men will compete primarily in the late winter and spring while the women play in the fall.
