MVNU ranked #2 Best Church of the Nazarene College in America

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Mount Vernon Nazarene University has been ranked as one of the best Church of the Nazarene Colleges in America by College Factual.

Ranked second out of eight nationwide for 2019, MVNU is noted for its quality education, graduation rates, student to faculty ratio and student loan default rate.

“College Factual correctly notes the many efforts we take to ensure the success of our students,” said Henry W. Spaulding II, Ph.D., president of MVNU. “MVNU is different from other Nazarene colleges because of the quality of our learning community. Our professors take the time to mentor students in and out of the classroom. Our new academic programs (Engineering, Health Sciences, and Communication Sciences and Disorders) have recruited strong students to campus and our intentional emphasis upon retention strategies have contributed to greater academic success for all our students.”

MVNU moved up one spot in the rankings for Nazarene Colleges in America from its #3 slot in 2018. The university stands out, according to College Factual, for its demonstration of providing an excellent education to its students. Rankings are based on 11 different factors that review caliber of current students, educational resources, degree completion and post-graduation earnings. The same methodology used for quality rankings is applied to categories such as religious affiliation.
