Music Department to present traditional Advent Service
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — The Music Department at Mount Vernon Nazarene University will present a traditional advent worship service on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 7:15 p.m. in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Auditorium. The community is invited to attend this free event. Face masks are strongly encouraged.
The service, inspired by the Service of Nine Lessons and Carols of the Anglican Church, will include scripture readings by various members of the MVNU community and an advent devotional by Rev. Stephanie Lobdell, MVNU Campus Pastor. Dr. Rebecca Abbott will be featured on organ and MVNU Music Department ensembles will provide several seasonal music selections.
