MVNU Music Department Presents Christmas Festival
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University Music Department will present the biennial Christmas Festival on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 7:15 p.m. in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Auditorium.
The community is invited to join in celebrating the season with a wide variety of Christmas music. This free concert will feature Music Department choral and instrumental ensembles as well as a short carol sing.
Some of the music performances to be included are a setting of the “Ukrainian Bell Carol” by the Symphonic Wind Ensemble; movements from “The Nutcracker Suite” by the Flute Choir; “O Nata Lux” by Goliards Chamber Choir; and “A Christmas Festival” by Chamber Winds. Collegians Chorale will also present “Gloria” featuring a children’s ensemble and Treble Singers Women’s Choir will offer “African Noel,” a traditional African carol. The ensembles will present other seasonal favorites for everyone to enjoy.
