MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Mount Vernon Nazarene University reached its highest undergraduate enrollment in nine years for the start of the 2018-19 academic year. The 1,405 traditional undergrad students and 838 non-traditional students combine for 2,243 total MVNU students for the academic year.

MOUNT VERNON — The MVNU graduating classes from 1970-1975 are gathering at Homecoming for a special reunion celebration! A passionate group of leaders, dedicated to hosting the reunion have been meeting on campus to lead this very special event. They hope that many two-year graduating class members will attend the very first Pioneer Spirit Reunion on Homecoming Weekend, November 15-16. All five-year reunion classes will still gather as normal. Additional details coming soon.

MOUNT VERNON, OHIO — Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s Schnormeier Gallery is proud to present Gregory Spaid’s photographic exhibit, titled “Reading Trees.” This exhibit will be on display in the gallery from Jan. 11 to Feb. 22, 2019. He will be presenting an artist talk on Jan. 18, at 5 p.m., and the reception will follow from 6-8p.m.

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Mount Vernon Nazarene University has announced a capital project to celebrate its 50th Anniversary. MVNU plans to build a Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium to accommodate varsity and junior varsity soccer teams, the men’s club lacrosse team and future athletic teams. The $2 million project will include a high-quality turf field, lights, expanded seating, restrooms, concessions, locker rooms, a press box and more.

Lifeline 2019 was held in late March with a goal of $64,000. This year’s effort brought in $72,032, and the total continues to rise. Blessed with over 232 ministry partners, the WNZR staff was greatly encouraged and extremely thankful for the community’s support.
