Mount Vernon Nazarene University is proud to offer a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration that ranked in the Top 3 Best Online Business Programs in 2018 by Affordable Colleges Online.
This 120 credit hour degree can be completed entirely online. Designed for the busy working adult, the program places emphasis on affordability, quality, and convenience. The BBA can be taken as a standalone degree or can be enhanced by one of four extensive majors.
*Based on students beginning the program with 56 transferable credit hours and only needing the program-specific classes. Time to completion varies based on individual student circumstances and previous college experience. Program length also varies when pursuing the BBA by itself or the BBA + Major. The Finance major is specifically designed for students intending to pursue career tracks such as banking, accounting, and tax preparation. As such, it contains the most fundamental business courses for graduate study, with a focus on investments, markets and institutions, business finance, risk and insurance, and personal financial planning.
Topics in the Human Resource Management major curriculum include training and development, performance and reward systems, employee relations and services, human resource strategy, and managing diversity for organizational performance.
The Management major prepares students to advance in managerial and other leadership roles. Topics of study include new venture creation, project management, advanced business law, and operations management.
Majoring in Marketing is ideal for students interested in pursuing sales, promotion, and marketing management roles. The curriculum includes courses examining personal selling, advertising and promotion, marketing management, marketing strategy, and market research.
