Tragedy into Triumph - CANCELLED

0016 eventpageheader

This event has been cancelled - As MVNU responds to recommendations from Knox Public Health and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine to limit large gatherings of people on university campuses, we have made the decision to cancel all events through March 29. With the health and safety of our students as our number one priority at this time, we must minimize any exposure to coronavirus (COVID-19) on our campus.

We apologize for disrupting any planned activities, and appreciate your support and prayers as we navigate through this ever-evolving situation. If an event is rescheduled, an announcement will be made. Continue to stay informed at

Real life. Real stories. Real God.

Each night of Tragedy Into Triumph features a first-person account of relatable hardships such as fear, cancer, drugs, depression and loss. This experience combines worship and personal testimonies to show how God can transform trials and tribulations into victories and celebrations.

Tuesday, March 17 — Pattie Mallette’s story is one of pain, despair, abuse and poor choices. A second chance — and God’s love — changed everything. Meet Justin Bieber’s mother and hear her story of redemption.

Wednesday, March 18 — Former Victoria’s Secret model Kylie Bisutti will be the first to say she’s no angel. She chose faith over fame after realizing she could not live with Christian values in the modeling world. Today, she preaches a message of inner beauty and that true value comes from a solid relationship with Christ.

Thursday, March 19 — Mixed-martial arts fighter Justin Wren turned a life of addiction and depression into a life fighting for other people. He now serves as the voice for those in need of water, who are bullied or suffer from addiction and depression.

Joshua Brown will lead worship each night.

A nation-wide simulcast will be hosted by Mount Vernon Nazarene University. If you would like to participate in the simulcast please register at:
