Collegians/Treble Singers Concert
Treble Singers Women’s Choir, directed by Mrs. Sabina Anderson, will sing selections from their recent tour, including high-spirited works by Aaron Copland and Moses Hogan. In addition, the group will sing the charming “Duet for Two Cats,” attributed to Giaochino Rossini. The choir will also present the song “For Good” from the musical Wicked as a tribute to families and friends.
After the Praetorius processional “Sing dem Herrn” flows into the exuberant “Hosanna In Excelsis” (Pierce), Collegians Chorale, directed by Dr. Robert Tocheff, will present several of their church tour repertoire including “In the Beginning” (Spacht), “True Light” (Hampton), “God Thou Art Love” (Courtney) and “O Love that Will Not Let Me Go” (arr. Rouse). In addition, they will perform the traditional African song “Akekho Ofana No Jesu,” and Robert Ray’s “Credo” from his Gospel Mass. For some clever humor, the audience will enjoy two short nursery rhymes about Mary and Peter. Come to the concert to discover their full identity.
