Musikgarten Music Makers Around the World: Germany
TBA 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
This workshop introduces parents and elementary-age children to next spring's course on the music of Germany. Participants will receive a sample Week 1 lesson on J.S. Bach and folk traditions, including singing, an organ demonstration, and a story.
Although the German class continues the two-year cultural music program begun with the British Isles this fall and continuing with our own Amerindian and African-American heritage in 2019-2020, participation in all four semesters is not required.
Music Makers Around the World offers children a comprehensive music foundation which is an excellent preparation for piano or other instrumental lessons. This workshop is available for families with children age 6 (Grade 1) through age 11 (Grade 5). At no additional charge, parents are encouraged to join their child for this workshop. This workshop is limited to 15 participants.
