Knox Out Tobacco cessation program

The program consists of weekly classes and offers free counseling and free nicotine replacement therapy. The program is on-going and you can join any Thursday night by just attending a class. Pre-registration is not necessary. Nicotine replacement patches are distributed on a weekly basis.

Engineering Scholarship available through Community Foundation of Mount Vernon & Knox County
The award, which provides more than $10,000 per year, is renewable as long as student remains in an undergraduate engineering school and maintains satisfactory grades.
An application may be obtained by logging on to the Foundation's website at www.mvkcfoundation.org. Choose 'grant seekers' and then choose '2012 Special Scholarships Application (PDF)'. Completed applications is March 1, 2012 with awards to be announed by May 31, 2012.
