Give This Christmas Away

What do Vegetables and shoeboxes have in common? CHRISTMAS!! WNZR and the Gospel Supply Shop are teaming up with Operation Christmas Child to bring a special VeggieTales event to Mount Vernon. You can see the new VeggieTales video “Saint Nicholas – a Story of Joyful Giving” on Sunday, November 15th. In this story, the Veggies discover the true joy of giving to others – at Christmas time and throughout the year! This VeggieTales story also features a special song called “Give This Christmas Away” by Matthew West and Amy Grant.

The event will take place at 6pm on Sunday, November 15th at the R.R. Hodges Chapel Auditorium at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Doors will open at 5:30pm. There are NO TICKETS required for the event. We are asking each family to pack a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child and bring along a $7 dollar donation to handle shipping and handling.

Join WNZR and the Gospel Supply Shop as we collect shoeboxes for children around the world. The National Collection for Operation Christmas Child is November 16th through the 23rd. Our local drop-off site is at Brandon Baptist Church, 13513 Sycamore Rd in Mount Vernon. Our goal is to collect at least 200 shoeboxes on the 15th to give Knox County a good start for this year’s collection.
