WNZR Power Increase Update

So much is happening at WNZR. God is answering prayer! Many of you have seen Big Blue – our remote broadcast vehicle. Big Blue is an answer to 10 years of prayer and 3 years of fundraising. Thank you for supporting our station and our ministry.

The next step for WNZR is a power increase. WNZR has received permission from the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) to take our signal power from 130 watts to 1,300 (13-hundred) watts. We have a construction permit to complete this process.

We are praising the Lord because the project is underway!

Our engineer is currently wiring the building to prepare for the delivery of our new equipment.

We will be purchasing a new transmitter and a new antenna. The new antenna will be omni-directional, which will give a clearer and stronger signal to all types of radios. Right now, WNZR’s antenna is vertical, so it works best with car radios. We are excited about this change because many of you have told us that you can pick up WNZR in your driveway, but not inside your home.

The new equipment will cost around $48,000 dollars.
The labor for this project will cost around $12,000 dollars.
So the total cost of this power increase project is over $60,000
