From 'Bricks and Mortar'
to 'Flesh & Blood'
These early years in the life of Mount Vernon Nazarene University have
by necessity been devoted to the development of a beautiful campus,
complete with adequate facilities for living, studying and social
fellowship that will enable an ever-growing number of students
to fulfill our University motto, "To Seek to Learn is to
Seek to Serve."
While the administration continues to grapple with the continued
need to develop our campus -"bricks and mortar"- the
development of students for lives of service to Christ and their
fellow man-"flesh and blood" continues to challenge
us.
Despite the best efforts of the University to keep tuition expenses
low, and to assist young people from limited financial backgrounds
to attend, each year our admissions
staff agonizes over a number of students who have potential
for outstanding service to Christ and His Church who may not
be able to attend for financial reasons. We must help these students!
