Development

Welcome to the office of Development at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. As part of the University Advancement Division, our offices are responsible for communicating to our constituencies the vital needs, as well as, the success stories of the University. Our team provides fund raising assistance and proposal development to individuals, corporations, foundations, and churches.

The Executive Director of Development works with the Vice President of University Advancement to maintain relations with current donors, as well as developing new relations with constituents and friends.

The Planned Giving Office works with individuals to prepare documents such as wills, simple trusts, and other planned giving concepts. Available for churches or individual contact, this office has helped many to preserve their life's work from taxes and also to include the University in their future plans.

The Director of Major Gifts and Grants is responsible for developing programs designed to increase participation in the life of the university.  He also coordinates grant writing for the faculty and University Advancement staff.

The Director of University Fund coordinates the University's annual gift programs including the CSA Phonathon, the University Fund Phonathon, and direct mail approaches. The director will involve many volunteers in these processes. Active in developing and cultivating new contacts with recent graduates, the Director of Annual Giving works closely with the Executive Director and the Vice President.

The Assistants for University Fund and Development are the office liaisons with the field representatives and are eager and ready to answer all questions.

Our offices partner with the Alumni, Special Events, Marketing, and Communications offices. We welcome the opportunity to discuss with you any questions, comments, or suggestions you might have in support of the mission of MVNU. You may contact us by e-mail or by calling 1-800-367-9294.
