The Den has been used in many ways since the college first started. A barn from the 1800's, (and one of the original Lakeholm Farm buildings still standing) it was used as a cafeteria, as a basketball court, and occasionally, as a theater! While it has always been a hang-out for students, The Den was converted in the summer of 1996 into more of a "coffee house" atmosphere. However with the building of the Prince Student Union the food service once offered in the Den has been moved to the PSU. Interested in writing, photography -- or aerobics? The basement of the Den is home to the MVNU newspaper, the Lakeholm Viewer, and to MVNU's yearbook, the Enerazan. Tennis courts and a sand volleyball pit are located right outside.
