Do you know who paleontologists are and what they do? This summer we will discover the answers to these questions and learn more about the prehistoric world. We will learn about fossils, “hatch” dinosaur eggs, and excavate dinosaur bones from sand. Join us for Prehistoric Quest as we explore the world of dinosaurs through science activities, art, games, songs, and books.

Have you ever wondered about the animals that live in the ocean? Did you know the ocean has layers and each layer is a different habitat? During our quest under the sea we will research the characteristics and features of the ocean and the animals that live there. Join us for hands-on activities that will explore why the ocean is so important and how it plays a role in all our lives. Demonstrations, activities, and games will enhance our learning in science, reading, and math. Sign up to have oceans of fun!

Did you know pineapples are berries, peanuts are beans, and asparagus is part of the lily family? Did you know some plants like acid in their soil? Did you know that you can grow your own pizza? Come to Garden Quest to get your hands dirty with projects about different ways to grow food, helpful and harmful bugs, and a chance to create a mini-garden of your own to take home! We will investigate plants, animals, insects, and natural resources through the works of various artists, children’s books, and fun art making techniques. Come join us as we explore the natural world through art!

Weather Quest (Grades K–2)
Monday through Friday, July 22–26, 2024 (9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.)

Have you ever wondered why the weather is so crazy? How can it rain while the sun is shining? How can it be too cold to snow? What is the difference between a tornado and a hurricane? Join us as we explore why the weather acts the way it does. We will become meteorologists for a week as we use hands-on experiments and demonstrations to discover truths about weather.
