Mount Vernon Nazarene University: Life Changing

History Club

The history club provides opportunities for students who have an interest in history to get together in an informal and often small gathering to have fun and interact. History club is a way to build comunity, friendship, and to have fun. It promotes the idea that history is not just a bunch of dates and dead people but rather that history is alive. Through movies, strategy games, and trips we hope to show everyone that history can be interesting and relevant today.

Developing a sense of comradery among students and the faculty is also a goal through the beginning of the year wiffle ball game, trips, active participation in events by the history faculty, and the yearly toilet bowl game against the psych club. While the name may sound stuffy and generic history club strives to be dynamic and exciting for the students who participate.
