October 30, at Shawnee State University
The Lady Cougars wrapped up their inaugural season as a club team with a 2-1 victory at Shawnee State. Amy Seiffert scored the team's first goal on a direct kick from 30 yards out, while Kelly Evans notched her team-high sixth goal of the season off an assist from Seiffert, her team-leading fifth assist of the year. MVNC finishes its first season with a 4-7-1 record.
October 21, SETON HILL (PA) COLLEGE
MVNC dropped a 6-1 decision to Seton Hill, ranked fourth in NAIA Region IX. Kelly Evans scored the Lady Cougars' lone goal off an assist from Amy Seiffert. The match was the final home match for MVNC seniors Sarah Lybarger, Lynne Kaufman, Dana Basham, Crystal Webb, Nicole Dickinson, and Shannon Poole.
October 16, at Salem-Teikyo (WV) University
The Lady Cougars picked up their third win of the season with a 4-0 victory at Salem-Teikyo. Lynne Kaufman scored two goals, and Holly Shuler and Shauna Dickinson each scored a goal apiece to pace the winning attack. Stephanie White dished out two assists, while Shuler and Kelly Evans recorded one assist each.
October 15, at University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown (PA)
Despite outplaying Pittsburgh-Johnstown for most of the match, MVNC dropped a hard-fought 2-0 decision. The Lady Cougars allowed a goal in the first minute, outplayed Pittsburgh-Johnstown for the next 88 minutes, and then allowed the final goal of the match in the last minute. MVNC posted a 22-6 advantage in total shots, but the Lady Cougars could not capitalize.
October 9, at Tiffin University
In a match that was scheduled to be played against the Tiffin JV team, the Lady Cougars ended up playing the Lady Dragon varsity squad and dropped a 7-0 decision to the #23 team in the NAIA.
October 7, CINCINNATI STATE TECHNICAL COLLEGE
MVNC rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit with two goals in the second half as the Lady Cougars downed Cincinnati State 2-1. Holly Shuler scored one minute into the second half off an assist from Shannon Poole to knot the score at 1-1. Then, Amy Seiffert scored the game-winning goal in the 64th minute as Poole and Shauna Dickinson each assisted on the play.
October 2, NOTRE DAME COLLEGE
The Lady Cougars, who had not played in 11 days, dropped a 3-0 decision to Notre Dame. The match was scoreless until the Blue Falcons found the back of the net in the 21st minute. Notre Dame went on to add two second-half goals.
September 21, at Kenyon College
MVNC battled crosstown rival Kenyon to a scoreless tie in the first-ever meeting between the two Knox County schools. The Lady Cougars outshot the host Ladies 15-10, and MVNC goalie Sarah Lybarger posted 10 saves to go along with her first shutout.
September 18, SHAWNEE STATE UNIVERSITY
The Lady Cougars picked up their first-ever victory with an 8-0 win over Shawnee State. Kelly Evans recorded a hat trick with three goals and she also added two assists. Amy Seiffert, Stephanie White, and Shauna Dickinson finished with a goal and an assist apiece, while Lynne Kaufman and Holly Shuler also recorded one goal each.
September 9, at Cedarville College
MVNC took an early 2-0 lead before falling 5-2 at Cedarville. Stephanie White and Lynne Kaufman each scored a goal for the Lady Cougars, while Tiffany Chappell and Amy Seiffert recorded an assist apiece.
September 7, at Urbana University
Despite a valiant effort, the Lady Cougars dropped a hard-fought 2-1 decision in double overtime as Urbana scored the winning goal with just 12 seconds left in the match. Kelly Evans scored MVNC's lone goal in the first half off an assist from Amy Seiffert as the Lady Cougars held a 1-0 advantage at the break. Sarah Lybarger posted another stellar performance in goal for the team.
August 31, at Walsh University
MVNC played its first-ever women's soccer match as the Lady Cougars fell 5-0 at Walsh. Despite being a club sport in its first year of existence, MVNC made a good showing in their first contest. Sarah Lybarger recorded 21 saves in the losing effort.
