November 20, vs. The Master's (CA) College

For the second straight match at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida, the Lady Cougars were forced to go to a shootout and for the second straight match third-seeded MVNU came out on top as the Lady Cougars defeated fifth-seeded The Master's 3-2 in the shootout to claim their second NCCAA national title in four years.  Trailing 1-0 in the second half, Samantha Tomlinson scored MVNU's only goal of the match off an assist from Heather Ross to knot the score at 1-1.  After neither team scored again in regulation or in the two 10-minute overtime periods, Tomlinson, Ross, and Mara Hughes each converted penalty kicks in the shootout for the Lady Cougars.  Meanwhile, Krysti Wilson saved two of The Master's attempts as MVNU secured the national championship.  BOXSCORE


November 18, vs. Indiana Wesleyan University

After a scoreless 0-0 double overtime draw, MVNU, the third seed, edged second-seeded Indiana Wesleyan 5-4 in a shootout in the semifinals of the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida.  Kristy Brandolini, Samantha Tomlinson, Allie Warnemunde, Mara Hughes, and Angie Misamore each found the back of the net in the shootout, while Krysti Wilson saved two of Indiana Wesleyan's shootout attempts to help the Lady Cougars advance to the national championship match.  Wilson also posted two saves during the match in notching her school-record 31st career shutout and the team's sixth shutout of the year.  BOXSCORE


November 17, vs. Asbury (KY) College

Playing in their first match in 13 days, the third-seeded Lady Cougars downed sixth-seeded Asbury 4-1 in the first round of the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida.  Kristy Brandolini registered the school-record fifth hat trick of her career as she scored three goals.  Heather Ross also found the back of the net once, while Allie Warnemunde, Page Miller, Samantha Tomlinson, and Jessica Pagano each recorded an assist.  Meanwhile, Krysti Wilson stopped one shot on goal to help preserve the win.  BOXSCORE


November 4, ROBERTS WESLEYAN (NY) COLLEGE

MVNU claimed the National Christian College Athletic Association East Region title as the Lady Cougars blanked Roberts Wesleyan 3-0 in the NCCAA East Region championship match.  Kristy Brandolini led the way with two goals, while Allison Elifritz also scored.  Samantha Tomlinson registered two assists, and Mara Hughes also contributed an assist.  Meanwhile, Krysti Wilson stopped the Lady Raiders' only shot on goal in posting the team's fifth shutout of the year and the school-record 30th of her career.  BOXSCORE


October 28, TIFFIN UNIVERSITY

The Lady Cougars, who were the second seed, dropped a 2-1 decision to third-seeded Tiffin in the American Mideast Conference Qualifying Tournament.  Allie Warnemunde gave MVNU a 1-0 lead in the first half, but the Lady Dragons scored twice in the second half to pick up the win.  Krysti Wilson posted four saves to keep the Lady Cougars close.  BOXSCORE


October 25, WALSH UNIVERSITY

MVNU wrapped up at least a share of its third conference title in the past four years as the Lady Cougars downed Walsh 5-1 in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Kristy Brandolini had a big day for MVNU with three goals and an assist, while Allison Elifritz and Allie Warnemunde each had a goal.  Heather Ross, Stacy Robey, and Page Miller all tallied an assist apiece, and Krysti Wilson posted one save in goal.  The victory was also head coach Jonathan Meade's 100th career win.  BOXSCORE


October 21, at Houghton (NY) College

The Lady Cougars put up a valiant fight but dropped a hard-fought 2-1 non-conference decision in overtime at Houghton, who is ranked third in the latest NAIA national poll.  Page Miller, who has scored MVNU's last four goals, knotted the match at 1-1 as she headed in an indirect kick from Samantha Tomlinson in the first half.  Krysti Wilson stopped five shots in goal for the Lady Cougars.  BOXSCORE


October 17, at Urbana University

MVNU moved one step closer to capturing at least a share of its third American Mideast Conference South Division crown in the past four years with a 2-1 conference win at Urbana.  Page Miller scored both goals for the Lady Cougars, while Kelly Sgambellone and Allie Warnemunde were each credited with an assist.  Krysti Wilson also stopped four shots to preserve the victory.  BOXSCORE


October 14, at Tiffin University

The Lady Cougars moved back into first place in the American Mideast Conference South Division with a 1-0 victory at Tiffin, who received votes in the latest NAIA national poll.  Page Miller scored the game-winning goal with 13:59 left in the match off assists from Kristy Brandolini and Nikki Bruscino.  Meanwhile, Krysti Wilson stopped one shot in notching her fourth shutout of the year.  BOXSCORE


October 11, OHIO DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY

MVNU dropped a 3-1 American Mideast Conference South Division decision to Ohio Dominican as the Lady Cougars had their seven-match unbeaten streak snapped.  Mara Hughes scored the lone goal for MVNU off a corner kick by Samantha Tomlinson.  Meanwhile, Krysti Wilson posted two saves in goal.  BOXSCORE


October 7, UNIVERSITY OF SAINT FRANCIS (IN)

The Lady Cougars notched their fourth straight win - including their second straight shutout - and ran their unbeaten streak to seven straight matches with a 3-0 non-conference shutout of Saint Francis.  Allison Elifritz recorded two goals, while Kristy Brandolini scored once.  Allie Warnemunde, Nikki Bruscino, and Krysti Wilson also had an assist each.  Meanwhile, Wilson posted her second straight shutout and third of the season.  BOXSCORE


October 3, CEDARVILLE UNIVERSITY

MVNU won its third straight match and stretched its unbeaten streak to six matches in a row with a 3-0 American Mideast Conference South Division shutout of Cedarville.  Allison Elifritz had a goal and an assist, while Kelly Sgambellone and Heather Ross also scored one goal apiece.  Kristy Brandolini registered two assists, and Page Miller and Nikki Bruscino were also each credited with an assist.  Meanwhile, Krysti Wilson posted her second shutout of the season in goal with three saves.  BOXSCORE


September 30, GENEVA (PA) COLLEGE

The Lady Cougars extended their unbeaten streak to five straight matches with a 6-2 non-conference win over Geneva.  Samantha Tomlinson tied the school single-match record with three assists, while Kelly Sgambellone and Kristy Brandolini each had a goal and an assist.  Allie Warnemunde, Mara Hughes, Page Miller, and Allison Elifritz also had one goal apiece.  BOXSCORE


September 27, at Malone College

MVNU improved to 3-0-0 in American Mideast Conference South Division play with a 5-1 victory at Malone.  Kristy Brandolini led the Lady Cougars with two goals and two assists, while Kelly Sgambellone and Page Miller each finished with a goal and an assist.  Mara Hughes also scored for MVNU, and Stacy Robey was credited with an assist.  BOXSCORE


September 23, SPRING ARBOR (MI) UNIVERSITY

The Lady Cougars rallied from a 2-0 deficit to battle Spring Arbor, ranked 18th in the latest NAIA national poll, to a 2-2 tie in double overtime.  Kristy Brandolini and Nikki Bruscino each scored for MVNU, while Heather Ross and Kelly Sgambellone registered an assist apiece.  Meanwhile, Krysti Wilson stopped eight shot in goal to preserve the draw.  BOXSCORE


September 20, SHAWNEE STATE UNIVERSITY

MVNU remained unbeaten in American Mideast Conference South Division play with a 4-1 victory over Shawnee State.  Nikki Bruscino, Page Miller, Heather Ross, and Kelly Sgambellone each scored for the Lady Cougars, while Kristy Brandolini added a pair of assists.  MVNU out-shot the Lady Bears 43-1 in the match and had a 16-1 advantage in corner kicks.  BOXSCORE


September 18, UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE

The Lady Cougars scored a season-high six goals and snapped a three-match losing skid with a 6-1 American Mideast Conference South Division victory over Rio Grande.  Page Miller notched her first career hat trick with three goals, while Kristy Brandolini added a goal and an assist.  Allie Warnemunde and Nikki Bruscino each scored a goal, while Heather Ross, Allison Elifritz, and Mara Hughes were credited with one assist apiece.  Meanwhile, Krysti Wilson posted on save in goal as MVNU out-shot the Redwomen 52-2 for the match.  BOXSCORE


September 14, at Ohio Wesleyan University

For the third straight match, MVNU fell by a one-goal differential as the Lady Cougars fell 1-0 at Ohio Wesleyan in non-conference action.  The host Battlin' Bishops scored the only goal of the match off a corner kick just 2:27 into the match and held on for the victory.  Krysti Wilson posted nine saves in goal to keep MVNU close.  BOXSCORE


September 9, INDIANA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY

The Lady Cougars dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision to Indiana Wesleyan, ranked 21st in the latest NAIA national poll, in the consolation match of the W.g. Grinders Cougar Classic.  The lone goal of the match came just over seven minutes into the second half.  The Lady Wildcats out-shot MVNU 10-6 for the match.  Krysti Wilson posted five saves to keep the Lady Cougars in the match.  Page Miller and Kristy Brandolini were named to the All-Tournament Team for MVNU.  BOXSCORE   In the championship match, second-ranked Lee (Tenn.) September 8, LEE (TN) UNIVERSITY

MVNU took an early lead, but the Lady Cougars were unable to hold off Lee in the first round of the W.g. Grinders Cougar Classic as MVNU fell 2-1.  The Lady Flames, who are ranked second in the latest NAIA national poll and finished as the national runner-up last year, got the winning goal on a penalty kick with 18:18 left in the match.  Kristy Brandolini scored the Lady Cougars' lone goal off an assist from Page Miller.  Meanwhile, Krysti Wilson stopped six shots in goal.  BOXSCORE   In the other first round match, Ohio Dominican University upset 21st-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University 1-0 to advance to face Lee for the championship on Saturday.  BOXSCORE


September 2, at Brenau (GA) University

The Lady Cougars used a balanced offensive attack to blank Brenau 5-0 in a non-conference match for the team's first win of the year.  Kristy Brandolini led the way with a goal and two assists, while Page Miller and Nikki Bruscino each had a goal and an assist.  Kelly Sgambellone and Allie Warnemunde added one goal apiece, and Samantha Tomlinson and Allison Elifritz registered one assist apiece.  Meanwhile, Krysti Wilson stopped three shots in posting her school-record 26th career shutout.  BOXSCORE


August 31, at Berry (GA) College

MVNU kicked off its 2006 season with a 2-0 non-conference loss at Berry, who is ranked 18th in the NAIA preseason poll.  After a scoreless first half, the Lady Cougars gave up two second-half goals as they were out-shot 9-7 in the match.  Krysti Wilson posted seven saves in goal to keep MVNU close.  BOXSCORE
