Rachel Widener
High School Information: Graduated from Open Door Christian School in Elyria in 1996. Following her senior year, she was named to the Division IV All-Ohio Third Team. She was also selected as the Lorain County Division IV Player of the Year and the District 3 Division IV Player of the Year.
College Honors: In 1996, named the Mid-Ohio Conference Freshman of the Year and selected to the MOC Second Team. Was also chosen to the All-Tournament Team of the Lady Cougars' Wazie Invitational and selected to the National Christian College Athletic Association All-East Region Team. In 1997, was chosen to the All-Tournament Team of the Wazie Invitational and selected to the MOC Second Team. Was also named to the NCCAA All-East Region Team.
1997 Statistics: Recorded 14 aces, 77 assists, 100 blocks, 426 kills, and 586 digs in 174 games. Ranked tenth in the MOC in attack percentage at .287.
