November 22, vs. Taylor (IN) University
MVNC fell 11-15, 15-10, 15-4, 15-5 to top-seeded and #10-ranked Taylor, the eventual region champion, in the semifinals of the NAIA Great Lakes Regional Tournament. The Lady Cougars wrap up the 1997 season with a 42-12 overall record. Tara Seiter led the way with 18 kills, five blocks, and two aces, while senior Tammy Custer closed out her illustrious career with 14 kills and a team-high 19 digs. Rachel Widener added seven kills, and Scarlett Habrun recorded a team-high six blocks.

November 21, vs. College of Mount St. Joseph
The Lady Cougars dropped a hard-fought decision to seventh-seeded Mount St. Joseph 15-5, 12-15, 16-14, 11-15, 15-12 in pool play action at the NAIA Great Lakes Regional Tournament. Tara Seiter recorded 25 kills and 13 blocks, while Tammy Custer added 22 kills and 25 digs. Rachel Widener led the team with 34 digs, and Jessica Huffaker and Susan Stewart each contributed four blocks. Despite the loss, MVNC finished in a three-way tie with St. Francis and Mount St. Joseph with 1-2 pool play records. The Lady Cougars won a one-game playoff against Mount St. Joseph, and then claimed a 15-13 playoff win over St. Francis to advance to the semifinals.

November 21, vs. Bethel (IN) College
MVNC fell to second-seeded and #24-ranked Bethel 15-11, 15-10, 15-8 in a pool play match at the NAIA Great Lakes Regional Tournament. Tammy Custer led the way with nine kills and four aces as she became the Lady Cougars' career aces leader with 188. Tara Seiter added eight kills and five blocks, while Rachel Widener finished with six kills.

November 20, vs. College of St. Francis (IL)
The Lady Cougars, seeded sixth, upset third-seeded St. Francis 15-9, 15-12, 12-15, 3-15, 15-12 in the opening match of pool play at the NAIA Great Lakes Regional Tournament. Tara Seiter led MVNC with a career-high 29 kills, one shy of the school record for kills in a match. Seiter also recorded a team-high six blocks and three aces. Tammy Custer pounded 20 kills, served up two aces, and added 25 digs, while Rachel Widener finished with 13 kills and a career-high 34 digs. Jessica Huffaker also contributed 13 kills and four blocks.

November 15, at Walsh University
Top-seeded and regular-season champion Walsh downed MVNC 15-8, 15-12, 15-12 in the title match of the Mid-Ohio Conference Tournament. The Lady Cougars were led by Tara Seiter with 13 kills, five blocks, and two aces. Rachel Widener added six kills and five blocks, while Tammy Custer and Jessica Huffaker also pounded six kills apiece. Custer served up two aces to set a new single-season mark with 79 aces, and Becky Jefferys also had two aces.

November 15, vs. Tiffin University
The second-seeded Lady Cougars defeated sixth-seeded Tiffin 15-11, 15-10, 15-3 in the semifinals of the Mid-Ohio Conference Tournament. Tara Seiter led MVNC with 16 kills and five blocks, while Tammy Custer recorded 15 kills and three blocks. Rachel Widener finished with 12 kills and three blocks, and Jessica Huffaker contributed nine kills and three blocks.

November 8, WESTERN BAPTIST (OR) COLLEGE
MVNC fell in the semifinals of the NCCAA National Tournament to the Western Baptist, the eventual champions, by the scores of 15-7, 15-9, 15-9. Tara Seiter led the Lady Cougars with 14 kills, 16 digs, and four blocks, while Tammy Custer finished with nine kills, 12 digs, and two aces. Jessica Huffaker added three kills and two blocks, and Becky Jefferys handed out 14 assists. Seiter and Custer were named to the 10-player All-National Tournament team for their efforts over the weekend.

November 7, BARTLESVILLE WESLEYAN (OK) COLLEGE
The Lady Cougars advanced to the semifinals of the NCCAA National Tournament as they knocked off Bartlesville Wesleyan in the quarterfinals 15-8, 15-5, 15-4. Tara Seiter pounded 16 kills and added four blocks, while Jessica Huffaker smashed nine kills. Rachel Widener and Amber Rice recorded seven and five kills respectively, and Tammy Custer finished with four kills and two aces.

November 7, CHRISTIAN HERITAGE (CA) COLLEGE
MVNC dropped its final pool play match of the NCCAA National Tournament as Christian Heritage, ranked #8 in the latest NAIA national poll, defeated the Lady Cougars 15-2, 15-11, 2-15, 15-9. Tara Seiter smashed 12 kills and recorded three blocks, while Jessica Huffaker and Tammy Custer each blasted seven kills. Custer also served up a team-high two aces.

November 7, OAKLAND CITY (IN) UNIVERSITY
The Lady Cougars remained unbeaten in pool play at the NCCAA National Tournament as they downed Oakland City 15-5, 15-9, 15-0. Rachel Widener led the way with 10 kills and two blocks, while Tara Seiter added six kills, three blocks, and two aces. Tammy Custer finished with five kills and three aces, and Jessica Huffaker and Amber Rice each pounded four kills apiece.

November 6, GRACE (IN) COLLEGE
MVNC began pool play in the 1997 NCCAA National Tournament with a 15-7, 15-2, 16-14 victory over Grace. Tammy Custer and Tara Seiter each pounded 13 kills apiece, while Amber Rice and Jessica Huffaker smashed nine and eight kills respectively. Seiter added seven blocks, and Rachel Widener finished with four blocks and four kills. Becky Jefferys also served up a team-high two aces.

November 4, MALONE COLLEGE
The Lady Cougars wrapped up the regular season by defeating Malone 15-12, 15-9, 16-14 in a Mid-Ohio Conference match. MVNC also claimed its second straight runner-up finish in the MOC with a 14-2 conference mark. Tara Seiter led the way with 19 kills, six blocks, and three aces, while Tammy Custer pounded nine kills. Rachel Widener finished with seven kills, and Jessica Huffaker added four kills and four blocks. With her six blocks, Seiter became the Lady Cougars' all-time leader in blocks with 644.

November 1, vs. Defiance College
MVNC extended its winning streak to eight straight matches and 24 consecutive games as the Lady Cougars downed Defiance 15-7, 15-3, 15-6 in non-conference action. Tara Seiter pounded a team-high eight kills and added two blocks, and Jessica Huffaker smashed seven kills and finished with two blocks. Amber Rice also recorded seven kills and led the team with two aces, while Scarlett Habrun contributed five kills.

November 1, at Kenyon College
The Lady Cougars knocked off host Kenyon 15-7, 15-8, 15-8 in non-conference action between the Knox County rivals. Tara Seiter led the team with 13 kills, six blocks, and two aces, while Rachel Widener finished with six kills. Tammy Custer and Amber Rice each pounded five kills apiece, and Jai Holland added three blocks.

October 30, at Urbana University
MVNC rolled past the Lady Blue Knights 15-6, 15-11, 15-2 in Mid-Ohio Conference action. Tara Seiter led the winning effort with 20 kills and five blocks, while Jessica Huffaker added five kills and four blocks. Tammy Custer and Susan Stewart finished with six and five kills respectively, and Jai Holland also contributed three blocks.

October 28, WALSH UNIVERSITY
The Lady Cougars knocked off Walsh 16-14, 15-1, 15-10 in an important Mid-Ohio Conference match. The Lady Cavaliers entered the match ranked fourth in the NAIA Great Lakes Region and unbeaten in the MOC. Tara Seiter led the winning effort by pounding 18 kills (including 12 in the third game). She also added a team-high five blocks, while Tammy Custer finished with 12 kills. Jessica Huffaker smashed six kills and contributed three blocks, and Rachel Widener added six kills and two blocks.

October 25, vs. Malone College
MVNC claimed the 1997 NCCAA East Regional title with a 15-3, 15-3, 15-11 victory over Malone. With the win, the Lady Cougars received an automatic berth in the NCCAA National Tournament for the eighth straight year. Tara Seiter, named the Region Player of the Year, led the way with 13 kills, six blocks, two aces, and 12 digs. Becky Jefferys served up three straight aces in the second game, and Rachel Widener finished with seven kills. Susan Stewart led the team with 13 digs, while Stewart and Jessica Huffaker each recorded two blocks apiece.

October 25, at Roberts Wesleyan (NY) College
The Lady Cougars remained unbeaten at the NCCAA East Regional Tournament by downing the host Lady Raiders 15-9, 15-5, 15-5. (Roberts Wesleyan entered the match ranked #2 in the NAIA's Northeast Region.) Tara Seiter recorded 12 kills, three blocks, and two aces, while Tammy Custer added nine kills and a team-high three aces. Rachel Widener finished with six kills and a team-leading 11 digs, and Becky Jefferys also served up two aces.

October 24, vs. Nyack (NY) College
MVNC made it two in a row at the NCCAA East Regional Tournament as the Lady Cougars downed Nyack 15-0, 15-1, 15-0 in a match that lasted less than 30 minutes. Tammy Custer led the team with eight kills, while Tara Seiter finished with seven kills and six blocks. MVNC limited Nyack to just eight serve attempts in the match, and Amber Rice served for 13 straight points in the second game. Amy Shearrow also led the team with seven digs.

October 24, vs. Geneva (PA) College
The Lady Cougars got back on the winning track with a 15-11, 15-1, 15-1 victory over Geneva in the opening match of the 1997 NCCAA East Regional Tournament. Rachel Widener led the way with seven kills and 10 digs, while Tammy Custer and Jessica Huffaker each pounded six kills. Amy Shearrow served up a team-high four aces, and Scarlett Habrun recorded four kills.

October 23, at Mercyhurst (PA) College
MVNC suffered a five-game setback in non-conference action at NCAA Division II Mercyhurst by the scores of 15-11, 3-15, 8-15, 15-8, 15-12. Tara Seiter led the Lady Cougars with 12 kills, four blocks, 20 digs, and three aces, while Tammy Custer added 14 kills and 16 digs. Rachel Widener finished with 15 kills and two aces, and Jessica Huffaker and Scarlett Habrun each recorded three blocks.

October 21, UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE
The Lady Cougars overcame a sluggish performance as they defeated Rio Grande 17-15, 15-8, 15-13 in a Mid-Ohio Conference match. Tara Seiter pounded a team-high 23 kills and added five blocks, while Rachel Widener finished with 14 kills and two blocks. Tammy Custer and Jessica Huffaker each smashed nine kills, and Amber Rice contributed six kills. Scarlett Habrun also recorded four blocks.

October 16, at Ohio Dominican College
MVNC pounded 71 kills as a team on its way to a 16-14, 15-11, 15-7 Mid-Ohio Conference victory over Ohio Dominican. Tammy Custer led the way by blasting 22 kills (an average of 7.33 per game) and contributing 19 digs. Tara Seiter recorded 14 kills, five blocks, and a team-high 24 digs, while Amber Rice smashed 12 kills. Jessica Huffaker added nine kills and five blocks, and Rachel Widener finished with eight kills. Scarlett Habrun also had three blocks.

October 14, at Tiffin University
The Lady Cougars topped Tiffin 15-8, 15-11, 15-9 in a Mid-Ohio Conference road match. Tammy Custer came one ace shy of tying the MVNC single-match record as she served up a team-high six aces. Custer also added 15 digs and 15 kills. Tara Seiter pounded 14 kills and recorded five blocks, while Jessica Huffaker smashed 10 kills. Amber Rice served for three aces, and Scarlett Habrun recorded four blocks.

October 11, at University of Michigan-Dearborn
MVNC took fifth place out of 13 teams at the University of Michigan-Dearborn Invitational Tournament by downing the host school 16-14, 15-12, 15-11. Tammy Custer led the winning effort with 12 kills and four aces, while Tara Seiter added eight kills and five blocks. Jessica Huffaker pounded 10 kills, and Amber Rice and Scarlett Habrun recorded four and two blocks respectively. Amy Shearrow served up three aces, while Becky Jefferys added two aces of her own.

October 11, vs. Spring Arbor (MI) College
The Lady Cougars began play in the elimination portion of the University of Michigan-Dearborn Invitational Tournament by defeating Spring Arbor 15-9, 15-5, 15-0. Tammy Custer led the way with 15 kills and 13 digs, while Amber Rice added 10 kills, 12 digs, and two aces. Tara Seiter finished with eight blocks and two aces, and Scarlett Habrun contributed three blocks. Rachel Widener also pounded 11 kills. In this match, Custer became MVNC's career leader in serve attempts with 2,146.

October 10, vs. Purdue-Calumet (IN) University
MVNC knocked off Purdue-Calumet 15-5, 15-5, 15-6 in the Lady Cougars' second and final pool play match at the University of Michigan-Dearborn Invitational Tournament. Tara Seiter led the team with 14 kills and three blocks, while Tammy Custer pounded nine kills. Becky Jefferys recorded 13 digs, and Mandy Metzger served up two aces.

October 10, vs. Taylor (IN) University
The Lady Cougars fell to Taylor, ranked 17th in the latest NAIA national poll, in their first pool play match at the University of Michigan-Dearborn Invitational Tournament by the scores of 12-15, 15-5, 15-13, 16-14. Tara Seiter paced MVNC with 25 kills, five blocks, 19 digs, and two aces in the match. Tammy Custer added 19 kills and a team-high three aces, while Rachel Widener and Jessica Huffaker recorded five and four blocks respectively. Amber Rice also finished with two aces and 19 digs.

October 9, vs. CEDARVILLE COLLEGE
MVNC dominated Cedarville College 15-4, 15-8, 15-2 in a Mid-Ohio Conference match as the Lady Cougars played well at all aspects of their game. Tara Seiter led the way with 16 kills and four blocks, while Tammy Custer pounded nine kills and served up two aces. Amber Rice smashed eight kills, Rachel Widener recorded seven kills, and Jessica Huffaker contributed five kills and two blocks. Becky Jefferys also finished with two aces, while Rice and Amy Shearrow added an ace apiece.

October 6, at Malone College
Malone rallied to knock off the Lady Cougars 15-10, 8-15, 14-16, 15-12, 15-10 in a Mid-Ohio Conference match. Tara Seiter pounded 25 kills and recorded eight blocks in a losing effort, while Rachel Widener and Tammy Custer smashed 21 and 17 kills respectively. Custer served up a team-high three aces, and Scarlett Habrun contributed four blocks. Sophomore Becky Jefferys recorded the 1,000th assist of her brief career.

October 1, at Shawnee State University
MVNC made short work of the Lady Bears as they claimed a 15-3, 15-7, 15-3 Mid-Ohio Conference victory in a match that lasted just 40 minutes. Jai Holland led the team with a career-high seven kills in 13 attempts for a .538 hitting percentage for the match. Tammy Custer added four kills and a team-high three aces, while Scarlett Habrun recorded two blocks. Amy Shearrow contributed a team-best six digs, and Becky Jefferys served up two aces.

September 30, at University of Rio Grande
The Lady Cougars took over sole possession of second place in the Mid-Ohio Conference with a 16-14, 15-7, 15-3 victory over Rio Grande. Tara Seiter led the team with 14 kills and five blocks, while Tammy Custer pounded seven kills and served up a team-high two aces. Rachel Widener added seven kills, and Becky Jefferys recorded two aces. With the win, MVNC handed the Redwomen their first home loss of the season.

September 27, GRACE (IN) COLLEGE
MVNC downed the Lady Lancers 15-12, 7-15, 15-7, 15-9 to win their second straight Wazie Invitational title. Grace, Cornerstone, and the Lady Cougars each finished with 3-1 tournament records, but MVNC claimed the title due to a better game differential. Rachel Widener smashed 16 kills, and Tara Seiter pounded 15 kills and recorded four blocks. September 27, HUNTINGTON (IN) COLLEGE
The Lady Cougars outlasted Huntington 15-5, 4-15, 15-12, 11-15, 15-4 in their third match of the Wazie Invitational. Tara Seiter posted a triple-double with 20 kills, 24 digs, and a school-record tying 16 blocks. Tammy Custer added 20 kills and four aces, while Jessica Huffaker pounded a career-high 14 kills and recorded four blocks. Amber Rice also smashed 12 kills, and Rachel Widener recorded seven blocks. Becky Jefferys served up two aces, while Amy Shearrow contributed 13 digs. Shearrow also set a school record with 40 serve attempts in the match.

September 26, SPRING ARBOR (MI) COLLEGE
MVNC rebounded from its opening loss to defeat Spring Arbor 15-6, 15-10, 15-7 in the second match of the Wazie Invitational. Tara Seiter recorded a .708 hitting percentage for the match as she pounded 18 kills in 24 attempts with just one error. She also added a team-high five blocks. Rachel Widener finished with seven kills, two aces, and a team-high 16 digs, while Amy Shearrow contributed 10 digs.

September 26, CORNERSTONE (MI) COLLEGE
In the opening match of the 1997 Wazie Invitational, the Lady Cougars had their NAIA-record home winning streak snapped at 70 matches as Cornerstone prevailed 12-15, 15-1, 15-9, 11-15, 11-15. Tara Seiter led MVNC with 21 kills, eight blocks, and two aces, while Rachel Widener added 18 kills and 19 digs. Tammy Custer finished with 15 kills, 16 digs, and a team-high three aces.

September 25, OHIO DOMINICAN COLLEGE
MVNC extended its NAIA-record home winning streak to 70 straight matches with a 15-9, 15-11, 15-10 Mid-Ohio Conference victory over Ohio Dominican. Rachel Widener led the Lady Cougars with 10 kills, while Tammy Custer finished with nine kills and two aces. Tara Seiter smashed eight kills and recorded eight blocks, and Amber Rice added five kills. Scarlett Habrun served up a team-high two aces, while Jessica Huffaker contributed three kills and three blocks.

September 23, TIFFIN UNIVERSITY
The Lady Cougars overcame a sluggish start as they rallied to beat Tiffin 4-15, 15-6, 15-5, 15-9 in a Mid-Ohio Conference match. With the win, MVNC extended their NAIA-record home winning streak to 69 straight matches. Tara Seiter led the way with 23 kills, five blocks, and two aces as she passed Trista McNeal to become the Lady Cougars' all-time kills leader with 1,400 kills. Tammy Custer added 14 kills, while Rachel Widener recorded eight kills and four blocks.

September 20, at Trinity Christian (IL) College
MVNC wrapped up its Chicago road-trip with a 15-10, 9-15, 15-13, 15-7 non-conference victory over Trinity Christian. Tara Seiter recorded a triple-double with 19 kills, 10 blocks, and 18 digs, while Tammy Custer added 17 kills, 20 digs, and three aces. Rachel Widener pounded 11 kills, and Jessica Huffaker contributed 10 kills and three blocks. Amber Rice finished with six blocks, while Amy Shearrow recorded a season-high 14 digs.

September 20, vs. Greenville (IL) College
The Lady Cougars had little trouble defeating Greenville 15-1, 15-3, 15-6 in a non-conference match at Trinity Christian College. Tammy Custer and Rachel Widener each smashed seven kills, while Amy Shearrow recorded a team-high 11 digs. Kelly Shearrer and Mandy Metzger served up two aces apiece, and Jessica Huffaker and Scarlett Habrun recorded three and two blocks respectively.

September 19, at Concordia (IL) University
MVNC got back on track with a non-conference victory over Concordia by the scores of 15-3, 15-6, 15-8. Tara Seiter and Jessica Huffaker each pounded eight kills to lead the hitting attack, while Seiter recorded eight blocks and Huffaker added five blocks. Mandy Metzger served up a team-high two aces.

September 18, at College of St. Francis (IL)
The College of St. Francis staved off an upset bid by the Lady Cougars as the Fighting Saints won the non-conference match between two of the top teams in the region 15-2, 5-15, 4-15, 15-10, 15-9. Tara Seiter led MVNC with 18 kills, while Rachel Widener finished with 11 kills. Tammy Custer added 10 kills and a team-high three aces, and Amber Rice recorded nine kills. Mandy Metzger handed out 30 assists.

September 17, at University of Findlay
MVNC rebounded well from its first defeat of the season as the Lady Cougars knocked off the NCAA Division II Lady Oilers 15-5, 15-2, 15-9 in a non-conference match. Tara Seiter led the team with 13 kills and seven blocks, while Tammy Custer added nine kills and a team-high three aces. Rachel Widener contributed four blocks and Amber Rice pounded 10 kills in a winning effort.

September 16, at Walsh University
In a battle between the last two conference champions, Walsh handed the Lady Cougars their first defeat of the season as the Lady Cavaliers won the Mid-Ohio Conference match by the scores of 9-15, 15-4, 10-15, 15-7, 15-11. Tara Seiter led MVNC with a season-high 28 kills and four blocks, while Rachel Widener added 18 kills. Tammy Custer finished with 12 kills, a team-leading 21 digs, and a team-high four aces. September 11, at Cedarville College
After dropping the first game, MVNC rallied to defeat the host Yellow Jackets 12-15, 16-14, 15-7, 15-11 in a Mid-Ohio Conference match. Tara Seiter led the Lady Cougars with 22 kills and five blocks. Tammy Custer added 14 kills, 16 digs, and a team-high three aces, while Rachel Widener finished with 13 kills and two blocks. Amber Rice recorded 11 kills and two aces, and Scarlett Haburn chipped in with three blocks. Becky Jefferys handed out a season-high 56 assists. In this match, Custer became MVNC's career leader in digs with 1,652.

September 9, SHAWNEE STATE UNIVERSITY
The Lady Cougars earned third second Mid-Ohio Conference victory of the season with a three-game sweep over Shawnee State by the scores of 15-1, 15-4, 15-5. Rachel Widener led MVNC with five kills, while Scarlett Habrun finished with four kills and two blocks. Amber Rice and Jessica Huffaker each recorded a team-high three blocks, while Tammy Custer and Becky Jefferys served up four and three aces respectively. The victory also extended the Lady Cougars' NAIA-record home winning streak to 68 consecutive matches.

September 6, vs. Ohio Dominican College
For the third straight year, MVNC won the Kenyon College Invitational as the Lady Cougars knocked off previously unbeaten Ohio Dominican 15-12, 15-13, 15-3. Tammy Custer, Amber Rice, and Tara Seiter each smashed 12 kills to lead the balanced hitting attack. The Lady Cougars rallied to defeat Manchester 15-6, 13-15, 5-15, 15-6, 17-15 to advance to the finals of the Kenyon College Invitational for the third straight year. Tara Seiter led the way for MVNC with a season-high 19 kills and 10 blocks. Tammy Custer added a season-high 14 kills and a team-high three aces, while Rachel Widener finished with nine kills. Amber Rice recorded five kills and Scarlett Habrun and Jessica Huffaker each pounded four kills.

September 5, vs. Manchester (IN) College
MVNC claimed one of the two top seeds as the Lady Cougars defeated Manchester (IN) 15-11, 15-8, 15-7 to win their pool at the Kenyon College Invitational. Tara Seiter had her best performance of the season so far as she pounded 18 kills, recorded five blocks, and served up three aces to lead MVNC past the Spartans. Rachel Widener finished with eight kills, while Jessica Huffaker and Tammy Custer each recorded six kills.

September 5, vs. LaRoche (PA) College
The Lady Cougars knocked off LaRoche 15-2, 15-6, 15-2 in the opening match of pool play at the Kenyon College Invitational. Good serving helped propel MVNC past the Redhawks as the team compiled 12 aces led by Jai Holland, Mandy Metzger, Scarlett Habrun, and Amber Rice with two aces apiece. Rachel Widener smashed seven kills (including five in the second game alone) and Jessica Huffaker finished with five kills.

September 2, URBANA UNIVERSITY
MVNC successful opened play in the Mid-Ohio Conference as the Lady Cougars swept visiting Urbana 15-2, 15-1, 15-5. With the victory, MVNC also extended its NAIA-record home winning streak to 67 straight matches dating back to 1991. "The Streak" is also now the second-longest home winning streak in collegiate volleyball history among NCAA and NAIA schools. Amber Rice led the Lady Cougars with seven kills in the match, while Tara Seiter finished with six kills and two blocks. Rachel Widener, Jai Holland, and Scarlett Habrun each added four kills, and Jessica Huffaker led the team with three blocks.

August 30, at Notre Dame College
The Lady Cougars made it a clean sweep as they defeated the host Lady Blue Falcons 15-5, 15-8, 15-9 to win the Notre Dame College Quadrangular. Rachel Widener led the way by pounding twelve kills and recording ten digs. Amber Rice added eight kills, and Tara Seiter finished with seven kills.

August 30, vs. Daemen (NY) College
MVNC won its second straight match as the Lady Cougars defeated Daemen 15-12, 15-1, 15-5 at the Notre Dame College Quadrangular. Tara Seiter led the team with ten kills and four blocks, while Tammy Custer finished with twelve digs. Rachel Widener also contributed seven kills to the winning effort.

August 30, vs. Oberlin College
The Lady Cougars successfully opened the 1997 season with a 15-1, 15-1, 15-4 victory over Oberlin in the opening match of the Notre Dame College Quadrangular. With the win, MVNC head coach Paul Swanson notched his 400th victory at MVNC as he enters his fourteenth season. Tammy Custer led the team with six kills, while Amber Rice added five kills and two aces. Freshman Scarlett Habrun had a good debut with two kills and three blocks, and Jai Holland finished with two aces.
