The victory secures a berth for the Lady Cougars in the NCCAA National Tournament in Kissimmee, Fla. unless MVNU qualifies for the NAIA National Tournament Final Site which takes place at the same time.

The Lady Cougars will close out the regular season on Thursday when MVNU will host Walsh University in an American Mideast Conference match at 7:00 p.m. to determine who will host the five-team AMC Tournament on November 13-14. Shawnee State University has clinched at least a share of the AMC regular-season title and the automatic berth into the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round with a 10-0 record and two conference matches remaining. The AMC Tournament champion will also receive a berth into the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round.

Prior to Thursday’s match, MVNU’s three senior players, Haumschild, Austen, and Springer, will be honored for their contributions over the past four years.
