The Mount Vernon Nazarene
University women’s volleyball team posted a
pair of non-conference sweeps on Saturday
afternoon at a tri-match hosted by
Cincinnati Christian University as the Lady
Cougars downed both Kentucky State
University and the host Lady Eagles in
straight sets to top the 30-win mark for the
17th straight season.

The Lady Cougars closed out the day with

while Percival also totaled 12 assists.
“We were very consistent in the back row
today and that was the big difference in
both of these matches,” said MVNU coach Paul
Swanson. “It was great to be able to play
everyone and see them all get a lot of time.
We executed today and did what we needed to
do in order to pick up two more wins.”
The Lady Cougars will be back in action
at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday when MVNU will
travel to Malone University for a match
against Geneva (Pa.) College. Then, the Lady
Cougars will close out the regular season on
Thursday with a home match against Walsh
University at 7:00 p.m.
