Senior setter Kaylin Austen and freshman setter Lauren Percival (left) handed out 25 and nine assists respectively, while junior libero Caitlin Myles led the team with 11 digs.

The Lady Cougars closed out the day with a 25-13, 25-16, 25-16 victory over host Cincinnati Christian (11-14) as MVNU extended its winning streak to 11 straight matches. Albrecht again led the way with 11 kills and nine digs, while Haumschild and Springer pounded eight and seven kills respectively with Springer posting nine digs. Myles registered a team-high 18 digs, and Yutzy and freshman middle hitter Haley Nofziger posted seven and three blocks respectively. Austen handed out 21 assists, while Percival also totaled 12 assists.

“We were very consistent in the back row today and that was the big difference in both of these matches,” said MVNU coach Paul Swanson. “It was great to be able to play everyone and see them all get a lot of time. We executed today and did what we needed to do in order to pick up two more wins.”

The Lady Cougars will be back in action at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday when MVNU will travel to Malone University for a match against Geneva (Pa.) College. Then, the Lady Cougars will close out the regular season on Thursday with a home match against Walsh University at 7:00 p.m.
