November 19, vs. Cedarville University
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the final NAIA poll, dropped a hard fought 32-30, 30-28, 27-30, 18-30, 13-15 decision to Cedarville, who is ranked 17th in the final NAIA poll, in the championship match of the NAIA Region IX Tournament held at Saint Vincent (PA) College.  Shena Beheler pounded 22 kills, while Amanda Stevens added 17 kills and 28 digs.  Jenny Dunster finished with 14 kills, 17 digs, four blocks, and three aces, and Allison Klusmann handed out 63 assists.  Tiffany Milburn also posted 14 digs, while Rachael Stevens recorded four blocks.  Katie Vipperman also served up two aces as MVNU finished one win away from an NAIA National Tournament berth for the fifth time in the past seven years.


November 19, at Saint Vincent (PA) College
MVNU, which received votes in the final NAIA poll, downed host Saint Vincent 30-23, 21-30, 30-26, 30-19 in the semifinals of the NAIA Region IX Tournament.  Katie Ickes led the Lady Cougars with 17 kills, while Amanda Stevens finished with 16 kills, 19 digs, and three blocks.  Jenny Dunster compiled 13 kills, four blocks, and two aces, and Shena Beheler registered nine kills and three aces.  Allison Klusmann handed out 43 assists, while Tiffany Milburn posted 14 digs and two aces.  Rachael Stevens also pounded seven kills.


November 18, vs. University of Maine at Machias
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the final NAIA poll, rolled to a 30-3, 30-7, 30-7 victory over Maine-Machias in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Region IX Tournament held at Saint Vincent (PA) College.  Rachael Stevens led MVNU with 16 assists, six aces, and 34 serve attempts including a school-record 26 straight to close out the first game.  Jessi Weaver added six kills and five aces, while Lindsey Anderson pounded four kills.  Anyssa Incerpi also served up two aces, and Allison Klusmann handed out seven assists.


November 12, vs. Saint Vincent (PA) College
MVNU, the second seed from the South Division, dropped a hard-fought decision to top-seeded Saint Vincent 30-19, 30-19, 31-33, 30-32, 13-15 in the semifinals of the American Mideast Conference Tournament at Cedarville University.  Shena Beheler led the way with 21 kills, 12 digs, and nine blocks, while Jenny Dunster added a career-high 19 kills, five blocks, and 22 digs.  Amanda Stevens tallied 16 kills and 17 digs, and Allison Klusmann handed out 63 assists to go with 16 digs.  Tiffany Milburn and Katie Vipperman posted 21 and 17 digs respectively, while Katie Ickes and Rachael Stevens pounded 16 and 10 kills respectively.


November 11, vs. Urbana University
The Lady Cougars, who earned the second seed in the South Division, swept third-seeded Urbana 30-27, 30-25, 30-28 in the quarterfinals of the American Mideast Conference Tournament at Cedarville University.  Amanda Stevens led MVNU with 12 kills and 10 digs, while Shena Beheler added 11 kills and six blocks.  Jenny Dunster finished with seven kills and four blocks, and Allison Klusmann handed out 32 assists.  Katie Vipperman and Tiffany Milburn also posted 14 and nine digs respectively.


November 11, vs. Malone College
MVNU, the second seed from the South Division, rallied past sixth-seeded Malone 29-31, 30-20, 30-20, 30-27 in the second round of the American Mideast Conference Tournament at Cedarville University.  Amanda Stevens paced the Lady Cougars with 17 kills and 15 digs, while Jenny Dunster compiled 16 kills, nine blocks, and 19 digs.  Shena Beheler added 15 kills and five blocks, and Allison Klusmann handed out 41 assists to go with 14 digs.  Katie Ickes also posted five blocks.


November 4, vs. Cedarville University
The fourth-seeded Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, fell 24-30, 26-30, 17-30 to top-seeded Cedarville, ranked 17th in the NAIA, in pool play action at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament held at Northwestern (MN) College.  Amanda Stevens and Katie Ickes pounded 16 and 14 kills respectively, while Shena Beheler, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, added six kills, four blocks, and 16 digs.  Allison Klusmann handed out 34 assists, and Katie Vipperman posted 10 digs.


November 4, at Northwestern (MN) College
MVNU, the fourth seed who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, swept host and ninth-seeded Northwestern 30-15, 30-21, 30-22 in pool play at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament.  Amanda Stevens led the way with 14 kills and four blocks, while Shena Beheler and Rachael Stevens pounded 12 and 10 kills respectively.  Jenny Dunster added four blocks, 13 digs, and four aces, and Tiffany Milburn posted 11 digs and three aces.  Allison Klusmann also handed out 34 assists.


November 3, vs. Trinity International (IL) University
The fourth-seeded Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, downed fifth-seeded Trinity International 30-24, 21-30, 30-25, 30-20 in pool play at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament held at Northwestern (MN) College.  Amanda Stevens led the way for MVNU with 17 kills and 15 digs, while Katie Ickes pounded 14 kills.  Shena Beheler compiled 12 kills, nine blocks, 15 digs, and four aces, and Jenny Dunster tallied 13 kills and 16 digs.  Allison Klusmann handed out 43 assists, while Tiffany Milburn registered 16 digs.  Rachael Stevens also posted four blocks.


November 3, vs. Southwestern Assemblies of God (TX) University
MVNU, the fourth seed who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, swept eighth-seeded Southwestern Assemblies of God 30-15, 30-13, 30-22 in pool play at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament held at Northwestern (MN) College.  Shena Beheler paced the Lady Cougars with 16 kills, while Rachael Stevens added nine kills and five blocks.  Amanda Stevens also pounded nine kills with seven digs, and Lindsey Anderson and Jenny Dunster posted five blocks apiece.  Allison Klusmann handed out 39 assists, while Tiffany Milburn and Katie Vipperman each served up two aces with Milburn tallying eight digs.


November 1, URBANA UNIVERSITY
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, closed out the regular season by sweeping Urbana, who also received votes in the poll, 30-21, 30-23, 30-14 in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Jenny Dunster led the way with 13 kills, 12 digs, and seven blocks in the final home match of her career, while Amanda Stevens finished with seven kills and 16 digs in her final home match.  Shena Beheler added nine kills, five blocks, and four aces, and Katie Ickes pounded 11 kills.  Allison Klusmann also handed out 35 assists to go with 12 digs.


October 29, at Shawnee State University
MVNU, which received votes in the latest NAIA poll, rallied past Shawnee State 28-30, 30-23, 30-20, 30-15 in an American Mideast Conference South Division match.  Amanda Stevens led the Lady Cougars with 22 kills and two aces, while Shena Beheler added 16 kills, four blocks, 13 digs, and two aces.  Jenny Dunster smashed 14 kills to go with five blocks, and Allison Klusmann handed out 56 assists.  Katie Vipperman posted a career-high 20 digs, while Tiffany Milburn registered 12 digs.


October 27, at University of Rio Grande
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, swept Rio Grande 30-28, 30-20, 30-17 in American Mideast Conference South Division play.  Amanda Stevens led the way with 16 kills and 10 digs, while Shena Beheler finished with 12 kills and six blocks.  Jenny Dunster added nine kills, four blocks, and 12 digs, and Allison Klusmann handed out 34 assists.  Katie Vipperman served up two aces, while Tiffany Milburn posted 11 digs.


October 25, OHIO DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY
MVNU, which received votes in the latest NAIA poll, swept second-place Ohio Dominican 30-21, 31-29, 30-21 in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Shena Beheler led the Lady Cougars with 13 kills, 11 digs, and eight blocks, while Jenny Dunster pounded 12 kills to go with 18 digs.  Katie Ickes and Amanda Stevens finished with 10 and nine kills respectively with Stevens posting 15 digs, and Allison Klusmann handed out 37 assists to go with 11 digs.  Tiffany Milburn and Katie Vipperman registered 16 and 14 digs with Vipperman serving up a team-high three aces.


October 20, at Tiffin University
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, fell 30-24, 27-30, 26-30, 26-30 at Tiffin in American Mideast Conference South Division play.  Shena Beheler pounded 15 kills and 11 digs to lead MVNU, while Amanda Stevens added 16 kills, three aces, and 22 digs.  Katie Ickes smashed 13 kills, and Jenny Dunster finished with 12 kills, four blocks, and 13 digs.  Allison Klusmann handed out 54 assists to go with two aces, while Katie Vipperman and Tiffany Milburn each posted 12 digs.


October 18, at Walsh University
MVNU, which received a vote in the latest NAIA poll, swept Walsh 30-19, 30-24, 30-21 in an American Mideast Conference South Division match.  Jenny Dunster paced the Lady Cougars with 15 kills, three blocks, and nine digs, while Shena Beheler added 11 kills and five blocks.  Amanda Stevens and Katie Ickes each pounded 10 kills with Stevens posting 10 digs, and Allison Klusmann handed out 37 assists to go with three aces.  Katie Vipperman also registered 10 digs, while Tiffany Milburn served up two aces.


October 13, vs. Geneva (PA) College
Lady Cougars, who received a vote in the latest NAIA poll, swept Geneva 30-24, 30-24, 31-29 at Malone College as MVNU captured the National Christian College Athletic Association East Region title and earned a berth in the NCCAA National Tournament for the fifteenth straight year.  Shena Beheler led the way with 14 kills, 18 digs, and two aces, while Amanda Stevens added 10 kills and 14 digs.  Jenny Dunster finished with eight kills, five blocks, two aces, and 11 digs, and Allison Klusmann handed out 35 assists.  Tiffany Milburn also posted 12 digs.  The victory was the 30th of the season for the Lady Cougars as they reached the 30-win mark for the thirteenth straight year.


October 13, at Malone College
MVNU, which received a vote in the latest NAIA poll, rallied to defeat Malone 23-30, 30-18, 30-17, 30-26 in an American Mideast Conference South Division match that also counted towards the National Christian College Athletic Association East Region title race.  Shena Beheler paced the Lady Cougars with a triple-double of 14 kills, 10 blocks, and 12 digs, while Amanda Stevens added 19 kills and 11 digs.  Jenny Dunster also registered 13 kills to go with seven blocks and 21digs, and Tiffany Milburn and Bryee Hawkins posted 18 and 10 digs respectively.  Allison Klusmann also handed out 45 assists.


October 12, at Urbana University
Lady Cougars, who received a vote in the latest NAIA poll, downed Urbana, who also received votes in the poll, 30-22, 30-21, 25-30, 30-21 in American Mideast Conference South Division play.  Rachael Stevens led MVNU with 15 kills, while Amanda Stevens added 14 kills and 13 digs.  Shena Beheler finished with 11 kills and nine blocks, and Jenny Dunster tallied five blocks and 17 digs.  Allison Klusmann handed out 46 assists, while Tiffany Milburn and Katie Vipperman registered 11 digs apiece.  Vipperman and Bryee Hawkins also served up two aces apiece.  The win was also head coach Paul Swanson's 750th in 22 seasons at MVNU.


October 8, MARIAN (IN) COLLEGE
MVNU, which received votes in the latest NAIA poll, swept Marian 30-15, 37-35, 30-23 in a non-conference match.  Amanda Stevens led the Lady Cougars with 11 kills, 21 digs, and four blocks, while Katie Ickes, Rachael Stevens, and Shena Beheler each pounded 10 kills with Beheler posting five blocks.  Jenny Dunster finished with nine kills and 13 digs, and Allison Klusmann handed out 48 assists.  Tiffany Milburn also registered 10 digs.


October 8, SHAWNEE STATE UNIVERSITY
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, swept Shawnee State 30-26, 30-25, 30-21 in American Mideast Conference South Division play.  Jenny Dunster paced MVNU with 11 kills, five blocks, and nine digs, while Katie Ickes also pounded 11 kills.  Amanda Stevens finished with eight kills and nine digs, and Shena Beheler smashed nine kills to go with six blocks.  Allison Klusmann handed out 38 assists with four blocks, while Tiffany Milburn registered 12 digs.


October 5, at Ohio Dominican University
MVNU, which received votes in the latest NAIA poll, fell 31-29, 24-30, 21-30, 24-30 at Ohio Dominican University in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Shena Beheler led the Lady Cougars with 16 kills, 10 digs, and four blocks, while Amanda Stevens finished with 12 kills and 22 digs.  Allison Klusmann handed out 47 assists, and Jenny Dunster and Tiffany Milburn each posted 10 digs with Dunster pounding 11 kills.  Katie Vipperman also posted 13 digs.


October 1, UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, swept Rio Grande 30-21, 30-14, 30-14 in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Shena Beheler paced MVNU with 13 kills and nine blocks, while Katie Ickes and Amanda Stevens each pounded 11 kills apiece.  Jenny Dunster and Rachael Stevens added four blocks each with Dunster smashing nine kills, and Tiffany Milburn posted a team-high 12 digs.  Allison Klusmann also handed out 29 assists.


October 1, CEDARVILLE UNIVERSITY
MVNU, which received votes in the latest NAIA poll, dropped a hard-fought American Mideast Conference South Division match to Cedarville, ranked 18th in the NAIA, by the scores of 30-24, 30-24, 27-30, 28-30, 13-15.  Amanda Stevens led the Lady Cougars with career highs of 27 kills and 30 digs, while Allison Klusmann handed out a career-high 72 assists to go with 11 digs.  Shena Beheler posted a triple-double with 22 kills, 10 blocks, and 15 digs, and Jenny Dunster tallied 10 kills and a career-high 26 digs.  Rachael Stevens and Katie Ickes pounded 13 and 12 kills respectively, while Tiffany Milburn registered a career-high 21 digs.


September 29, MALONE COLLEGE
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, downed Malone 30-15, 30-22, 24-30, 30-16 in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Shena Beheler led MVNU with 15 kills and eight blocks, while Katie Ickes finished with 13 kills and five blocks.  Rachael Stevens added 11 kills, and Jenny Dunster smashed nine kills to go with 14 digs and six blocks.  Amanda Stevens also tallied nine kills and 13 digs, while Allison Klusmann handed out 47 assists to go with a career-high 18 digs.  Tiffany Milburn and Katie Vipperman also posted 12 and 10 digs respectively.


September 27, WALSH UNIVERSITY
MVNU, which is ranked 25th in the latest NAIA poll, dropped a hard-fought American Mideast Conference South Division match to Walsh 30-27, 22-30, 30-28, 27-30, 15-17.  Shena Beheler paced the Lady Cougars with a career-high 24 kills, five blocks, and 14 digs, while Katie Ickes pounded 15 kills.  Jenny Dunster added 13 kills, 18 digs, and five blocks, and Amanda Stevens finished with 15 kills and 24 digs.  Allison Klusmann handed out 55 assists to go with 10 digs, while Rachael Stevens tallied five kills and four blocks.  Tiffany Milburn also posted 20 digs.


September 24, vs. Olivet Nazarene (IL) University
The Lady Cougars, who are ranked 25th in the latest NAIA poll, fell 22-30, 30-23, 21-30, 23-30 to Olivet Nazarene in the fifth-place match at the Best of the Best Tournament hosted by the University of Saint Francis (IN).  Shena Beheler, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, paced MVNU with 10 kills, while Jenny Dunster added 10 kills, six blocks, and 17 digs.  Amanda Stevens finished with nine kills and 19 digs, and Tiffany Milburn served up three aces.  Rachael Stevens and Bryee Hawkins also handed out 19 and 16 assists respectively.


September 24, at University of Saint Francis (IN)
MVNU, which is ranked 25th in the latest NAIA poll, rallied to knock off host Saint Francis 20-30, 28-30, 30-25, 30-27, 15-12 in pool play at the Best of the Best Tournament.  Shena Beheler led the Lady Cougars with 21 kills and four blocks, while Rachael Stevens pounded 14 kills.  Amanda Stevens contributed 13 kills, 22 digs and two aces, and Jenny Dunster also posted 21 digs and 13 kills.  Meanwhile, Allison Klusmann handed out 48 assists.


September 23, vs. Savannah College of Art & Design (GA)
The Lady Cougars, who are ranked 25th in the latest NAIA poll, fell 29-31, 32-34, 23-30 to 16th-ranked Savannah Art & Design in pool play at the Best of the Best Tournament hosted by the University of Saint Francis (IN).  Shena Beheler paced MVNU with 15 kills and five blocks, while Amanda Stevens finished with six kills and 12 digs.  Allison Klusmann and Rachael Stevens also handed out 20 and seven assists respectively, and Tiffany Milburn posted 14 digs.


September 23, vs. Indiana University-Southeast
MVNU, which is ranked 25th in the latest NAIA poll, dropped a heart-breaker in five games to Indiana-Southeast, also ranked 25th in the NAIA, by the scores of 30-20, 31-29, 28-30, 27-30, 12-15 in pool play at the Best of the Best Tournament held at the University of Saint Francis (IN).  Shena Beheler led the Lady Cougars with 17 kills and five blocks, while Jenny Dunster added 16 kills and 21 digs.  Allison Klusmann handed out 54 assists, and Katie Ickes smashed 11 kills.  Amanda Stevens also contributed 21 digs, nine kills, three blocks, and two aces, while Tiffany Milburn posted 18 digs.


September 22, TIFFIN UNIVERSITY
The Lady Cougars, who are ranked 25th in the latest NAIA poll, swept Tiffin 30-22, 30-28, 30-25 in American Mideast Conference South Division action for their fifth straight win.  Amanda Stevens pounded 15 kills with 19 digs to pace MVNU, while Shena Beheler finished with 14 kills and three blocks.  Katie Ickes smashed 11 kills, and Jenny Dunster recorded nine kills and 14 digs.  Allison Klusmann also handed out 41 assists, while Tiffany Milburn contributed 12 digs.


September 17, BETHEL (IN) COLLEGE
MVNU, which received votes in the latest NAIA poll, swept Bethel 30-19, 30-19, 30-28 to win the championship match of the Papa John's Invitational.  Jenny Dunster, the tournament's Most Valuable Player, led the way with 12 kills, five blocks, and two aces, while Shena Beheler added 11 kills, 13 digs, and five blocks.  Amanda Stevens finished with 10 kills and 17 digs, and Allison Klusmann handed out 37 assists.  Tiffany Milburn also posted 12 digs, while Katie Ickes pounded seven kills.  Beheler, Stevens, and Klusmann joined Dunster on the All-Tournament Team.


September 17, ROBERTS WESLEYAN (NY) COLLEGE
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, defeated Roberts Wesleyan 30-21, 30-21, 24-30, 30-18 in pool play at the Papa John's Invitational.  Jenny Dunster led MVNU with 15 kills, five blocks, and 13 digs, while Amanda Stevens added 15 kills, 12 digs, and two aces.  Shena Beheler pounded 17 kills to go with 12 digs, and Tiffany Milburn posted 16 digs and two aces.  Allison Klusmann handed out 50 assists, while Rachael Stevens smashed eight kills.


September 16, DAEMEN (NY) COLLEGE
MVNU, which received votes in the latest NAIA poll, swept Daemen 30-10, 30-17, 30-19 in pool play at the Papa John's Invitational.  Lindsey Anderson led the way with seven kills and four blocks, while Jenny Dunster pounded eight kills.  Katie Ickes and Amanda Stevens each finished with six kills apiece, and Tiffany Milburn also served up two aces.  Allison Klusmann also handed out 32 assists.


September 16, OHIO DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, downed Ohio Dominican 30-22, 30-24, 30-21 in pool play at the Papa John's Invitational.  Jenny Dunster paced MVNU with 10 kills, nine digs, and two aces, while Amanda Stevens contributed 10 kills and 12 digs.  Allison Klusmann handed out 37 assists, and Shena Beheler blasted a team-high 17 kills.  Tiffany Milburn also posted 12 digs.


September 13, at Cedarville University
MVNU, which received votes in the latest NAIA poll, took 18th-ranked Cedarville to the limit before falling 19-30, 30-18, 16-30, 30-26, 13-15 in the American Mideast Conference South Division opener for both teams.  Shena Beheler paced the Lady Cougars with a career-high 23 kills and eight blocks, while Jenny Dunster added 11 kills, 16 digs, and six blocks.  Amanda Stevens finished with 14 kills and 19 digs, and Allison Klusmann handed out 53 assists.  Tiffany Milburn also posted a career-high 17 digs, while Katie Ickes smashed nine kills.


September 10, vs. Muskingum College
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, claimed third place at the College of Wooster Invitational with their second five-game victory of the day over Muskingum by the scores of 30-22, 30-32, 30-20, 23-30, 15-11.  Shena Beheler, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, registered 21 kills, 10 digs, and eight blocks, while Jenny Dunster added 17 kills and four blocks.  Amanda Stevens tallied 14 kills and 22 digs, and Rachael Stevens pounded 15 kills.  Allison Klusmann handed out 55 assists, while Tiffany Milburn and Katie Vipperman posted 16 and 14 digs respectively with Milburn serving up three aces.


September 10, at College of Wooster
MVNU, which received votes in the latest NAIA poll, suffered its first loss of the season after 17 straight wins as the Lady Cougars fell 18-30, 24-30, 30-19, 28-30 to Wooster in the semifinals of the Wooster Invitational.  Jenny Dunster and Shena Beheler each pounded 18 kills in the match with 14 and 10 digs respectively.  Amanda Stevens added 12 kills and 17 digs, while Allison Klusmann handed out 54 assists.


September 10, vs. Muskingum College
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, finished pool play unbeaten as MVNU outlasted Muskingum 30-32, 30-22, 30-32, 30-19, 15-10 at the College of Wooster Invitational.  Amanda Stevens paced the Lady Cougars with 19 kills, 24 digs, and three aces, while Shena Beheler recorded 17 kills, 16 digs, and eight blocks.  Katie Ickes and Rachael Stevens added 14 and 11 kills respectively, and Allison Klusmann handed out 55 assists to go with a career-high eight kills.  Jenny Dunster also finished with eight kills and 16 digs, while Tiffany Milburn and Katie Vipperman posted 14 and 10 digs respectively.


September 9, vs. Bluffton College
MVNU, which received votes in the latest NAIA poll, swept Bluffton 30-25, 30-15, 30-14 in pool play action at the College of Wooster Invitational.  Shena Beheler led the way for the Lady Cougars with 10 kills and 10 digs, while Rachael Stevens pounded nine kills.  Amanda Stevens added seven kills, 13 digs, and three aces, and Jenny Dunster and Katie Ickes contributed four and three blocks apiece.  Tiffany Milburn registered eight digs and three aces, while Allison Klusmann handed out 30 assists.


September 9, vs. St. Mary's (IN) College
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll, swept St. Mary's 30-16, 30-11, 30-25 in pool play at the College of Wooster Invitational.  Jenny Dunster paced MVNU with eight kills and eight digs, and Katie Ickes pounded 10 kills.  Rachael Stevens contributed eight kills, three blocks, and two aces, while Shena Beheler posted eight blocks.  Bryee Hawkins contributed 10 assists, and Allison Klusmann handed out 19 assists to go with three aces.  Tiffany Milburn also served up two aces to go with 11 digs.


September 3, vs. Walsh University
MVNU, which received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, swept Walsh, who also received votes in the poll, 30-24, 32-30, 30-20 to capture the championship title at the nine-team Roberts Wesleyan (NY) College Invitational.  Shena Beheler, the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, led the way with 14 kills and four blocks, while Jenny Dunster, who was also named to the All-Tournament Team, finished with 12 kills, 12 digs, and two blocks.  Amanda Stevens pounded 10 kills, and Tiffany Milburn registered 12 digs.  Allison Klusmann also handed out 32 assists.  The victory was the 750th of head coach Paul Swanson's 23-year career.  He is the active leader at the NAIA level in career volleyball coaching wins.


September 3, at Roberts Wesleyan (NY) College
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, swept host Roberts Wesleyan 30-25, 30-26, 30-28 to advance to the championship match of the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational.  Amanda Stevens paced MVNU with 14 kills and nine digs, while Shena Beheler added 13 kills, three blocks, and seven digs.  Jenny Dunster pounded 12 kills, and Allison Klusmann handed out 47 assists to go with seven digs.  Rachael Stevens and Katie Ickes also posted two blocks apiece, and Tiffany Milburn registered 10 digs.


September 2, vs. Houghton (NY) College
MVNU, which received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, swept Houghton 30-20, 30-26, 30-15 in pool play at the Roberts Wesleyan (NY) College Invitational.  Shena Beheler paced the Lady Cougars with 16 kills and seven blocks, while Jenny Dunster recorded eight kills, eight blocks, and 17 digs.  Allison Klusmann dished out 39 assists in the match, and Katie Ickes smashed eight kills.  Amanda Stevens tied the school record by serving up eight aces in the match, while Tiffany Milburn tallied nine digs.


September 2, vs. University of Rio Grande
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, downed Rio Grande 30-17, 30-15, 27-30, 30-16 in pool play at the Roberts Wesleyan (NY) College Invitational.  Shena Beheler led MVNU with 15 kills and nine blocks, while Amanda Stevens registered 13 kills and 18 digs.  Allison Klusmann handed out 46 assists, and Tiffany Milburn posted 12 digs and five aces.  Katie Ickes and Rachael Stevens smashed nine and eight kills respectively, while Jenny Dunster pounded seven kills to reach the 1,000-kill mark for her career.


August 31, at Notre Dame College
MVNU, which received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, swept a non-conference match at Notre Dame 30-17, 30-24, 30-19.  The Lady Cougars were led by Jenny Dunster, who registered 13 kills, four blocks, 15 digs, and three aces.  Shena Beheler added 13 kills, four blocks, and 14 digs, and Katie Ickes pounded nine kills.  Amanda Stevens and Tiffany Milburn posted 18 and 14 digs respectively with Milburn serving up two aces, while Allison Klusmann handed out 41 assists.


August 27, vs. Indiana Wesleyan University
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, knocked off Indiana Wesleyan University, who also received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, 30-24, 30-25, 27-30, 30-24 to finish tied for first at the 15-team University of Michigan-Dearborn Invitational with a 4-0 match record.  (Madonna (MI) University, ranked 6th in the NAIA, and host Michigan-Dearborn also went 4-0.)  Amanda Stevens paced the team with 19 kills and 15 digs, while Jenny Dunster added 10 kills, 19 digs, and five blocks.  Katie Ickes pounded 11 kills, and Rachael Stevens and Shena Beheler each finished with 10 kills apiece.  Allison Klusmann handed out 46 assists to go with two aces, while Tiffany Milburn also served up two aces and Katie Vipperman posted 10 digs.  Dunster and Beheler were both named to the All-Tournament Team.


August 27, vs. Rochester (MI) College
MVNU, which received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, swept Rochester 30-12, 30-10, 33-31 in the Lady Cougars' third match at the University of Michigan-Dearborn Invitational.  Katie Ickes and Rachael Stevens each pounded 10 kills to lead the way, while Bryee Hawkins served up four aces and handed out 26 assists.  Tiffany Milburn registered four aces and 12 digs, and Shena Beheler also smashed eight kills to go with three blocks.


August 26, vs. Grace Bible (MI) College
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, breezed past Grace Bible 30-7, 30-13, 30-15 in their second match at the University of Michigan-Dearborn Invitational.  Lindsey Anderson led MVNU with five kills, three blocks, and five aces, while Rachael Stevens pounded eight kills.  Bryee Hawkins handed out 14 assists, and Jessi Weaver and Anyssa Incerpi each posted five digs.  Katie Vipperman and Tiffany Milburn also served up three aces apiece.


August 26, vs. Concordia (MI) University
MVNU, which received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, dropped its first game of the season but rallied to defeat Concordia 29-31, 30-15, 30-17, 30-9 in the team's first match at the University of Michigan-Dearborn Invitational.  Jenny Dunster paced the Lady Cougars with 16 kills and 11 digs, while Amanda Stevens finished with 15 kills and 13 digs.  Rachael Stevens added 14 kills and four blocks, and Shena Beheler registered 13 kills and five blocks.  Allison Klusmann handed out 49 assists, while Tiffany Milburn served up three aces to go with 12 digs.  Lindsey Anderson also contributed four blocks.


August 25, vs. Aquinas (MI) College
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, rallied in the first game and held on to sweep Aquinas 30-27, 30-28, 30-21 in a non-conference tri-match at Goshen (IN) College.  Amanda Stevens led the way for MVNU with 13 kills and 11 digs, while Shena Beheler added 12 kills and 10 digs.  Allison Klusmann handed out 35 assists, and Rachael Stevens and Katie Ickes pounded 11 and 10 kills respectively.  Meanwhile, Tiffany Milburn served up two aces, and Jenny Dunster tallied six kills and two blocks.


August 25, at Goshen (IN) College
MVNU, which received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, cruised past host Goshen 30-9, 30-14, 30-18 in the first match of a non-conference tri-match.  Katie Ickes and Rachael Stevens each pounded six kills with Stevens serving up two aces.  Shena Beheler posted a team-high six blocks to go with five kills, while Allison Klusmann handed out 15 assists to go with two aces.  Bryee Hawkins tallied eight assists and eight digs, and Lindsey Anderson also contributed two blocks.


August 24, vs. Concordia (MI) University
The Lady Cougars, who received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, swept Concordia 30-17, 30-18, 30-15 in a non-conference tri-match at Spring Arbor (MI) University.  Jenny Dunster led MVNU with 11 kills and seven blocks, while Shena Beheler and Rachael Stevens each added seven kills with Beheler serving up three aces.  Allison Klusmann tallied 30 assists, five digs, and two aces, and Bryee Hawkins registered four digs.


August 24, at Spring Arbor (MI) University
MVNU, which received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, opened the 2005 season by sweeping host Spring Arbor 30-24, 30-20, 30-25 in the first match of a non-conference tri-match.  Jenny Dunster led the Lady Cougars with 10 kills, eight blocks, and 13 digs, while Shena Beheler finished with 10 kills and eight blocks.  Amanda Stevens posted eight kills, three aces, and 12 digs, and Allison Klusmann handed out 32 assists.
