November 5, NYACK (NY) COLLEGE
MVNU saw its season come to an end as the Cougars fell 3-2 to Nyack in the National Christian College Athletic Association East Region Tournament semifinals.  Jonathan Hoop and Matt Dennie each scored a goal for the Cougars, while Josh Van Pelt and Jeffery Hinds each registered an assist.  Nyack scored two goals in the final 9:55 to win the match.  Jordan Knight posted two saves in goal for MVNU.  BOXSCORE


October 29, at Shawnee State University
The Cougars rallied from an early deficit to defeat Shawnee State 5-1 in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Josh Van Pelt led MVNU with one goal and two assists, while Jeffery Hinds, Jonathan Hoop, Adam Pelak, and Daniel Seiffert each scored a goal for the Cougars.  Shawn Morrison and Sheldon Tugman also had one assist apiece, and Jordan Knight posted one save in goal.  BOXSCORE


October 27, SAINT VINCENT (PA) COLLEGE
After a scoreless first half, MVNU cruised to a 5-1 non-conference victory over Saint Vincent.  Josh Van Pelt registered a hat trick with three goals, while Adam Worrall added a pair of goals.  Aaron Caluza also handed out three assists, and Jeffery Hinds had one assist.  Meanwhile, Jarred Renner, Marcus Bierbaum, and Jordan Knight combined to stop four shots in goal.  BOXSCORE


October 22, WALSH UNIVERSITY
The Cougars dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision to Walsh in American Mideast Conference South Division play.  The Cavaliers held a 12-10 advantage in total shots and an 8-4 edge in shots on goal with corner kicks even at 4-4.  Jordan Knight posted seven saves in goal for MVNU.  BOXSCORE


October 19, at Urbana University
MVNU battled Urbana to a scoreless 0-0 double overtime draw in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  The Cougars out-shot the Blue Knights 13-11 in the game with a 5-4 edge in shots on goal and a 13-3 advantage in corner kicks.  Jordan Knight posted four saves in goal to preserve the shutout.  BOXSCORE


October 12, MALONE COLLEGE
The Cougars posted their sixth shutout of the season and their third in American Mideast Conference South Division play with a 3-0 victory over Malone.  The victory was also the 200th career win for head coach Paul Furey.  Adam Worrall led the way with a goal and an assist, while Aaron Caluza added a pair of assists.  Jeffery Hinds and Josh Van Pelt also scored one goal apiece.  Meanwhile, Jordan Knight and Marcus Bierbaum combined to stop five shots to notch the shutout.  BOXSCORE


October 8, at University of Rio Grande
MVNU dropped its second straight match as the Cougars fell 4-1 at Rio Grande, ranked second in the NAIA, in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  After a scoreless first half, the Redmen scored three goals in less than an eight-minute span in the second half to take control of the match.  Josh Van Pelt scored the lone goal for the Cougars on a penalty kick.  Rio Grande held an 8-4 advantage in shots and a 5-4 edge in shots on goal with corner kicks even at 6-6.  Jordan Knight posted one save in goal for MVNU.  BOXSCORE


October 4, at Cedarville University
The Cougars had their six-match winning streak snapped as MVNU fell 4-2 at Cedarville in an American Mideast Conference South Division match.  Jeffery Hinds and Adam Pelak scored one goal apiece for the Cougars, while Adam Worrall registered an assist as MVNU tried to rally from a 4-0 deficit.  Jordan Knight also posted four saves in goal.  BOXSCORE


October 1, MYERS UNIVERSITY
MVNU extended its winning streak to six straight matches including three consecutive shutouts as the Cougars roared past Myers 11-0 in non-conference play.  It marked the highest goal total since a 13-0 win over Wilberforce University during the 2001 season.  Jeffery Hinds led the way with two goals and two assists, while Josh Van Pelt added one goal and three assists.  Matt Dennie scored two goals off the bench, and Adam Pelak tallied one goal and two assists.  Seth Taylor, Aaron Caluza, Jonathan Hoop, Matt Lonsinger, and Zach Patterson also scored one goal apiece, while Adam Worrall registered one assist.  Meanwhile, Marcus Bierbaum and Jarred Renner each worked a scoreless half in goal.  BOXSCORE


September 24, at Ohio Dominican University
The Cougars posted their second straight shutout as MVNU blanked Ohio Dominican 2-0 in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Jeffery Hinds led the way for the Cougars with a goal and an assist, while Jonathan Hoop also scored for MVNU.  Josh Van Pelt was also credited with an assist in the match, and Jordan Knight stopped two shots in goal.  BOXSCORE


September 20, TIFFIN UNIVERSITY
MVNU got off to a good start in American Mideast Conference South Division play with a 3-0 shutout of Tiffin, the 2004 AMC South Division runner-up.  Adam Worrall scored two goals to pace the Cougars, while Seth Taylor also added a goal.  Josh Van Pelt, Daniel Seiffert, and Angelo Finelli each registered an assist in the match.  Meanwhile, Jordan Knight was impressive in goal as he stopped six shots to post the team's third shutout of the season.  BOXSCORE


September 17, TAYLOR (IN) UNIVERSITY
The Cougars scored two early goals and held off Taylor for a 2-1 non-conference victory.  Josh Van Pelt registered a goal and an assist, while Adam Worrall scored a goal for MVNU.  Daniel Seiffert was also credited with an assist in the match, and Jordan Knight posted two saves to preserve the win.  BOXSCORE


September 13, KENYON COLLEGE
MVNU nipped Knox County rival Kenyon 2-1 in double overtime in non-conference action.  Jonathan Hoop scored the golden goal with 8:24 left in the second overtime off an assist from Josh Van Pelt.  Jeffery Hinds also scored for the Cougars as Seth Taylor assisted on the play.  Marcus Bierbaum recorded three saves in the winning effort.  BOXSCORE


September 10, at Daemen (NY) College
After a scoreless first half, the Cougars scored five goals in the second half to pull away for a 5-1 non-conference win at Daemen.  Jeffery Hinds tied a school record with four assists in the match, while Jonathan Hoop scored two goals.  Josh Van Pelt added a goal and an assist, and Adam Worrall and Angello Finelli both scored a goal apiece.  Matt Wilging, Matt Dennie, and Seth Taylor were also credited with an assist each in the match.  Meanwhile, Marcus Bierbaum posted six saves in goal including stopping a penalty kick.  BOXSCORE


September 7, OTTERBEIN COLLEGE
MVNU suffered its first loss of the season as the Cougars dropped a hard-fought 2-1 decision to unbeaten Otterbein in non-conference action.  Jeffery Hinds scored the team's lone goal on a penalty kick in the second half that trimmed the deficit to 2-1.  MVNU had two good scoring chances in the final 10 minutes, but the Cougars were unable to equalize.  Jordan Knight posted 10 saves to keep MVNU close.  BOXSCORE


September 3, GRACE (IN) COLLEGE
The Cougars captured the First-Knox Cougar Invitational title by knocking off Grace 2-0 in the championship match.  Josh Van Pelt, the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, scored one goal and assisted on the other as MVNU remained unbeaten on the season.  Angelo Finelli also scored for the Cougars, while Adam Worrall and Adam Pelak were each credited with an assist.  Jordan Knight also stopped four shots on goal to post the team's second straight shutout.  Van Pelt was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Worrall, Shawn Morrison, Mike Pertz, and Jeffery Hinds, who was named the Most Valuable Offensive Player.  BOXSCORE


September 2, NORTHLAND BAPTIST BIBLE (WI) COLLEGE
MVNU notched its first win of the season as the Cougars blanked Northland Baptist Bible, the defending National Christian College Athletic Association Division II national champions, 6-0 in the first round of the First-Knox Cougar Invitational.  Josh Van Pelt and Jeffery Hinds each recorded two goals and an assist apiece, while Matt Dennie finished with a goal and an assist.  Adam Worrall also scored a goal for MVNU, and Patrick Young posted two assists.  Jonathan Hoop, Aaron Caluza, and Adam Pelak also contributed an assist apiece.  Meanwhile, Jordan Knight and Marcus Bierbaum combined to post the Cougars' first shutout of the year with two and one saves respectively.  BOXSCORE


August 27, at MidAmerica Nazarene (KS) University
The Cougars battled MidAmerica Nazarene, the defending National Christian College Athletic Association national champions, to a 1-1 double overtime draw in a non-conference match.  Josh Van Pelt put MVNU on the scoreboard first with a goal off a penalty kick in the 51st minute.  Jordan Knight posted five saves in goal to preserve the tie.  BOXSCORE


August 25, at Manhattan Christian (KS) College
After trailing 1-0 at the half, MVNU built a 3-1 lead before Manhattan Christian scored two goals in the final six minutes as the non-conference match ended in a 3-3 double overtime draw.  Josh Van Pelt led the Cougars' attack with one goal and two assists, while Daniel Seiffert and Matt Dennie each scored a goal apiece.  Seth Taylor was also credited with an assist as MVNU out-shot the Crusaders 34-8 and held a 20-0 advantage in corner kicks.  Jordan Knight registered four saves in goal for the Cougars.  BOXSCORE
