November 20, vs. East Texas Baptist University
The Cougars claimed third place at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament as third-seeded MVNC defeated two-time defending champion East Texas Baptist, the fourth seed, 2-1. Josh Robson and Preston Elifritz each scored a goal, while Brian Souder registered both assists. Goalkeepers Trevor Knowles and David Brunk posted three saves and one save respectively. Robson and Tim Lord were selected to the All-National Tournament Team for their efforts in the tournament.

November 18, vs. The Master's (CA) College
Third-seeded MVNC fell 5-0 to second-seeded The Master's in the semifinals of the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament. The Mustangs posted a 17-5 advantage in total shots and an 11-1 advantage in shots on goal. Goalkeeper Trevor Knowles posted five saves for the Cougars, while reserve goalie Ryan Pearce added one save.

November 17, vs. Piedmont (GA) College
The Cougars advanced to the semifinals of the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament with a 3-0 victory over sixth-seeded Piedmont in the quarterfinals. Josh Robson scored two goals for third-seeded MVNC, while Dave Barry notched the other goal. Preston Elifritz assisted on all three goals, and Tim Lord tallied two assists. Jeremy Stabile also recorded an assist, while goalkeeper Trevor Knowles posted one save in recording the team's tenth shutout of the year.

November 10, at Roberts Wesleyan (NY) College
Fifth-seeded MVNC fell 5-1 at top-seeded Roberts Wesleyan in the semifinals of the NAIA Region IX Tournament. The match was scoreless at the half before the Raiders scored five goals in a 20-minute span in the second half. Josh Robson scored the Cougars' lone goal, while goalkeeper Trevor Knowles posted five saves.

November 4, at Tiffin University
The fifth-seeded Cougars rallied for a 3-2 victory in overtime at fourth-seeded Tiffin in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Region IX Tournament. Josh Robson led MVNC with two goals as he twice erased one-goal deficits. His final goal came with six minutes remaining in the match to force an overtime period. In the extra session, defender Marc Stasiowski scored off a corner kick in the 102nd minute for the victory. Preston Elifritz recorded two assists in the match, while Rick Collins and Chris Masone added an assist apiece. Goalkeeper Trevor Knowles posted six saves in the winning effort.

October 28, at Ohio Dominican College
In a battle for the 2000 American Mideast Conference title, Ohio Dominican scored two first-half goals to down MVNC 2-0 and claim the conference crown. The Panthers outshot the Cougars 15-9 overall and 7-5 on goal. MVNC goalkeeper Trevor Knowles posted four saves. The Cougars wrapped up the regular season by finished third out of 12 teams in the AMC.

October 21, at Holy Family (PA) College
The Cougars returned to their winning ways with a 2-0 shutout of Holy Family in non-conference action. Rick Collins scored both of the team's goals, while Jeremy Hilen, Dave Barry, Preston Elifritz, and Danny Lueking were each credited with an assist in the match. Goalkeeper Trevor Knowles recorded four saves as MVNC posted its ninth shutout of the season.

October 20, at Goldey-Beacom (DE) College
MVNC lost for the first time in nine matches as the Cougars dropped a 5-2 non-conference decision at Goldey-Beacom. An own goal by the Lightening defense and a goal by Preston Elifritz off an assist from Brian Souder gave MVNC a 2-1 halftime lead. However, Goldey-Beacom scored four unanswered goals in the second half for the victory. Goalkeeper Trevor Knowles posted one save in the match.

October 17, GENEVA (PA) COLLEGE
In the team's final regular-season home match, the Cougars posted a 4-1 American Mideast Conference victory over Geneva to finish the season unbeaten at home in conference play. Josh Robson led the team with one goal and three assists, while Preston Elifritz, Danny Lueking, and Casey Swanson also added one goal apiece. Brian Souder and Rick Collins also registered an assist each. Goalkeeper David Brunk posted five saves to record the victory. It was the final regular-season home match for five seniors: Robson, Collins, Brunk, Chris Masone, and Tim Lord.

October 14, WALSH UNIVERSITY
MVNC rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to defeat Walsh 2-1 in an important American Mideast Conference match. Josh Robson knotted the match at 1-1 with a goal in the 24th minute off an assist from Preston Elifritz. Elifritz then registered the game-winning goal in the 58th minute off a pass from Jeremy Hilen. Goalkeeper Trevor Knowles record four saves in the winning effort.

October 11, at Tiffin University
The Cougars battled the defending conference champion Dragons to a 0-0 draw after regulation and two overtime periods in American Mideast Conference action at Tiffin. MVNC outshot the host team 23-21, and the Cougars hit the crossbar twice and the post once. Goalkeeper Trevor Knowles had a big day as he stopped 11 shots in posting the team's eighth shutout of the season.

October 7, at Shawnee State University
MVNC won its fifth straight match as the Cougars blanked Shawnee State 3-0 in an American Mideast Conference contest. Josh Robson led the team with two goals, while Preston Elifritz added a goal and an assist. Chris Masone, Rick Collins, and Jeremy Stabile also registered one assist apiece. Goalkeepers Trevor Knowles and David Brunk combined to post the team's seventh shutout of the season.

October 3, CEDARVILLE UNIVERSITY
The Cougars extended their winning streak to four straight matches with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Cedarville in American Mideast Conference action. Preston Elifritz scored both goals for MVNC with Jeremy Hilen, Josh Robson, and Chris Masone each recording an assist. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Trevor Knowles posted the team's sixth shutout of the season with three saves.

September 30, SAINT VINCENT (PA) COLLEGE
MVNC won its third match in a row as the Cougars downed Saint Vincent 4-1 in an American Mideast Conference match. Josh Robson scored two goals to lead the team, while Rick Collins and Preston Elifritz each added a goal. Elifritz also notched two assists, and Danny Lueking, Tim Lord, and Dave Barry finished with one assist apiece. Goalkeepers Trevor Knowles, David Brunk, and Ryan Pearce each registered one save.

September 26, at Point Park (PA) College
The Cougars scored four goals in the final 20 minutes as MVNC downed Point Park 5-1 in American Mideast Conference action. Josh Robson registered his first hat trick of the season with three goals, while Preston Elifritz scored the team's other two goals. Elifritz, Danny Lueking, Chris Masone, Dave Barry, Jeremy Hilen, and Brian Souder each recorded an assist.

September 23, MALONE COLLEGE
MVNC snapped its brief two-match losing streak with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Malone in an American Mideast Conference match. Preston Elifritz scored the only goal of the match in the 14th minute on a header. Rick Collins and Josh Robson were each credited with an assist on the play. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Trevor Knowles posted the team's fifth shutout of the season with three saves.

September 20, at University of Rio Grande
The Cougars suffered their first American Mideast Conference defeat of the season as MVNC fell 3-1 at Rio Grande, ranked #9 in the latest NAIA national poll. Ricky Warren scored his first collegiate goal in the 89th minute off a corner kick by Rick Collins as the Cougars avoided the shutout. Goalkeeper Trevor Knowles posted seven saves.

September 16, at Lindsey Wilson (KY) College
MVNC took the defending NAIA national champions to the wire before falling 1-0 at Lindsey Wilson. The Blue Raiders, ranked #2 in the latest NAIA national poll, scored the winning goal in the 75th minute on a rebound shot after Trevor Knowles, the Cougars' goalie, stopped the initial attempt. Knowles finished with 13 saves in the match as he kept MVNC in contention.

September 15, at Urbana University
The Cougars opened up American Mideast Conference play with a 5-0 victory at Urbana. Chris Masone led MVNC with two goals, while Preston Elifritz added a goal and two assists. Rick Collins and Josh Robson also scored one goal apiece, while Tim Lord, Marc Stasiowski, Brian Souder, and Jeremy Hilen were each credited with one assist. Meanwhile, goalkeepers Trevor Knowles and Ryan Pearce combined on the Cougars' fourth shutout of the season.

September 12, KENYON COLLEGE
For the first time in the history of the MVNC men's soccer program, the Cougars defeated county rival Kenyon 2-0 in a non-conference match. Josh Robson got the scoring started with a goal in the 30th minute off an assist from Rick Collins. Preston Elifritz celebrated his 21st birthday with a goal 11 minutes later as Collins and Robson were each credited with an assist. Goalkeeper Trevor Knowles recorded four saves with his third shutout of the season as MVNC snapped a nine-match losing streak to the Lords.

September 9, ROBERTS WESLEYAN (NY) COLLEGE
The Cougars suffered their first loss of the season as MVNC dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision to Roberts Wesleyan, ranked #8 in the NAIA preseason poll, in the championship match of the First-Knox Cougar Invitational. The only goal of the match came in the 83rd minute. Trevor Knowles, the Cougars' goalie, posted eight saves. Josh Robson was selected as the tournament's Most Valuable Offensive Player, and he was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Chris Masone and Tim Lord.

September 8, NYACK (NY) COLLEGE
MVNC posted its second straight shutout as the Cougars blanked Nyack 5-0 in the First-Knox Cougar Invitational. Josh Robson scored two goals and added two assists, while Chris Masone also recorded two goals. Dave Barry scored the team's other goal, and Preston Elifritz contributed two assists. MVNC goalkeeper Trevor Knowles posted his second shutout of the season as the defense limited the Purple Pride to only one shot on goal.

September 2, vs. Judson (IL) College
The Cougars posted a 3-0 shutout against Judson at the Trinity International (IL) University Invitational. Goalkeeper Trevor Knowles was a force for MVNC as he recorded 17 saves to preserve the victory. Preston Elifritz led the team with a goal and an assist, while Rick Collins and Josh Robson each scored one goal apiece. Danny Lueking also contributed two assists.

September 1, at Trinity International (IL) University
MVNC kicked off the 2000 season with a 4-2 victory over Trinity International at the Trojan's own invitational. Preston Elifritz led the Cougars with two goals, while Josh Robson added a goal and two assists. Rick Collins scored the other goal for MVNC. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Trevor Knowles posted five saves that included stopping a breakaway attempt in the 15th minute with the match still scoreless.
