April 28, CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY
The Lady Cougars rallied for a 5-1 win over Case Western Reserve in the second game of a non-conference doubleheader.  Trailing 1-0 with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, MVNU scored five times and went on to win the game.  Melody Blimline had the big blow in the inning with a three-run double, while Jennifer Meade had an RBI-single and Staci Graham drew a bases-loaded walk.  Michelle Gastin also had two hits in the game.  On the mound, Kylie Rupert (4-5) picked up the win as she allowed just six hits, two walks, and one run over seven innings with four strikeouts.  The victory was also the 400th win of head coach Jeana Howald's career.  BOXSCORE

April 28, CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY
MVNU scored twice in the bottom of the first inning and held on to blank Case Western Reserve 2-0 in the first game of a non-conference twinbill.  Kristin Eyerman (13-6) allowed just two hits and three walks over seven innings in posting her second shutout of the season with three strikeouts.  Offensively, Karly Clay collected two of the Lady Cougars' five hits with a single and a triple.  BOXSCORE

April 24, SHAWNEE STATE UNIVERSITY
The Lady Cougars suffered another tough loss as MVNU fell 5-2 to Shawnee State in the second game of an American Mideast Conference South Division doubleheader.  Kylie Rupert (3-5) took the loss on the mound as she allowed eight hits, two walks, and four runs in six-plus innings with five strikeouts.  Colleen Potter worked the final inning and gave up two hits and one run.  Offensively, Lauretta Wallace collected two of the Lady Cougars' six hits and drove in one run, while Karly Clay drove in the other run.  BOXSCORE

April 24, SHAWNEE STATE UNIVERSITY
MVNU fell 6-3 to Shawnee State in the first game of an American Mideast Conference South Division twinbill as the Lady Cougars' playoff hopes came to an end with the team's sixth straight loss.  Kristin Eyerman (12-6) took the loss as she scattered nine hits, one walk, and six runs over seven innings with two strikeouts.  Meanwhile, Tasha Konkle and Melody Blimline each had two hits, and Karly Clay and Jennifer Meade both had a double.  BOXSCORE

April 23, at University of Rio Grande
The Lady Cougars suffered their fifth straight loss as MVNU fell 5-4 at Rio Grande in the second game of an American Mideast Conference South Division doubleheader.  The Lady Cougars rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to knot the score at 3-3 only to watch as the Redwomen moved back in front for good.  Tasha Konkle led the offensive attack by going 3-for-4 and stealing two bases, while Karly Clay and Leslie Banichar each added two hits apiece.  On the mound, Kristin Eyerman (12-5) took the loss in relief as she gave up six hits and two runs (one earned) over the final four innings.  Colleen Potter started and allowed three hits, one walk, and three runs over the first two innings.  BOXSCORE

April 23, at University of Rio Grande
MVNU dropped its fourth straight game as Rio Grande scored two runs on a two-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning for a 4-3 victory in the first game of an American Mideast Conference South Division twinbill.  Kristin Eyerman (12-4) took the loss despite allowing just two hits, two walks, and four runs (two earned) with five strikeouts over 6.2 innings.  She took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and retired 17 straight batters at one point.  Laura Kot had three hits to lead the Lady Cougars' offense, and Karly Clay and Laura Morris each had an RBI-double.  BOXSCORE

April 21, MALONE COLLEGE
The Lady Cougars dropped a 5-3 non-conference decision to Malone as MVNU committed four errors in the game.  Colleen Potter (3-3) took the loss as she gave up eight hits, two walks, and five runs (only two earned) over 5.1 innings with one strikeout.  Kylie Rupert tossed the final 1.2 innings and gave up just one hit and one walk.  Offensively, Caitlin Murphy and Michelle Gastin each collected two hits apiece, but the Lady Cougars stranded eight baserunners in the game.  BOXSCORE

MVNU fell 7-3 to Geneva in the championship game of the National Christian College Athletic Association East Region best-of-three series.  Laura Kot collected two of the Lady Cougars' five hits in the game and drove in two runs.  Meanwhile, Kristin Eyerman (12-3) took the loss on the mound as she allowed nine hits, two walks, and seven runs over seven innings with six strikeouts.  BOXSCORE

The Lady Cougars rallied from a 3-1 deficit with five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to post a 6-3 victory over Malone in the second game of an American Mideast Conference South Division doubleheader.  Leslie Banichar paced the 15-hit attack by going 4-for-4 with two RBI and two stolen bases, while Caitlin Murphy and Whitney Clark added three hits apiece.  Karly Clay registered two hits, and Jennifer Meade ripped a two-out double in the decisive sixth inning to plate three runs.  On the mound, Kristin Eyerman (10-1) earned the win in relief as she retired all four batters she faced with one strikeout over 1.1 innings.  Kylie Rupert started and worked 3.1 innings and allowed three hits, four walks, and two runs with one strikeout, while Colleen Potter gave up three hits, two walks, and one run over 2.1 innings with three strikeouts.  BOXSCORE

April 3, at Cedarville University
Kristin Eyerman (8-1) returned to the mound just five days after being hit in the face by a line drive and she led the Lady Cougars to a 7-1 victory at Cedarville in the second game of an American Mideast Conference South Division doubleheader.  Eyerman allowed just three hits, three walks, and one run over six innings with four strikeouts.  Meanwhile, Laura Kot, Michelle Gastin, and Karly Clay each had two hits, while Caitlin Murphy hit a two-run home run.  BOXSCORE

April 3, at Cedarville University

MVNU posted a 6-4 win over Walsh in the first game of an American Mideast Conference South Division doubleheader as the Lady Cougars successfully opened new Cougar Field in front of a standing room only crowd of 410 fans.  Laura Kot, Karly Clay, and Leslie Banichar each had three hits to pace a 13-hit attack for MVNU with Clay driving in three runs.  Caitlin Murphy also had two hits and drove in two runs.  Meanwhile, Colleen Potter (3-0) earned the win as she scattered eight hits, four walks, and four runs over six-plus innings.  Kylie Rupert earned her second save of the season as she retired the final three batters to close out the game as the Lady Cougars extended their winning streak to 10 straight.  BOXSCORE

March 29, at Kenyon College
The Lady Cougars made it nine wins in a row with a 5-3 victory at Kenyon in the second game of a non-conference doubleheader.  Melody Blimline, Tasha Konkle, and Michelle Gastin each had two hits, while Karly Clay drove in a pair of runs.  On the mound, Kylie Rupert started and worked the first 2.1 innings as she allowed two hits, three walks, and two runs with one strikeout.  Staci Graham (2-0) picked up the win in relief as she worked 1.2 innings and gave up three hits and one run with one strikeout.  Colleen Potter tossed the final three innings and allowed just one hit with two strikeouts to notch her first career save.  BOXSCORE

March 29, at Kenyon College
MVNU held on for a 2-1 win at Kenyon in the first game of a non-conference twinbill.  Kristin Eyerman (7-1) earned the victory as she allowed just six hits, one walk, and one run over 4.1 innings with three strikeouts before being hit by a line drive in the mouth and being forced to leave the game.  Kylie Rupert tossed the final 2.2 innings and gave up just one hit and one walk with two strikeouts to earn her first career save.  Offensively, Caitlin Murphy and Leslie Banichar each had two hits with Banichar registering two stolen bases.  BOXSCORE

March 27, WILMINGTON COLLEGE
The Lady Cougars extended their winning streak to seven straight with a 13-1 victory over Wilmington in the second game of a non-conference doubleheader.  Laura Kot paced the offense by going 3-for-4 with a career-high four RBI, while Caitlin Murphy added two hits and three RBI.  Chelsea Kellerman also had two hits and scored three times, and Melody Blimline drove in two runs and scored three times.  In addition, Michelle Gastin hit her first career home run.  On the mound, Colleen Potter (2-0) picked up the victory as she allowed five hits, two walks, and one unearned run over four innings with two strikeouts.  Staci Graham tossed one perfect inning of relief and registered one strikeout.  BOXSCORE

March 27, WILMINGTON COLLEGE
MVNU won its home opener and its sixth consecutive game overall as the Lady Cougars downed Wilmington 6-1 in the first game of a non-conference twinbill.  Kristin Eyerman (6-1) earned the win on the mound as she gave up just six hits and one unearned run over seven innings with five strikeouts and no walks.  Meanwhile, Laura Kot led the offensive attack with two hits and two runs scored, while Lauretta Wallace had a triple.  Tasha Konkle also drove in a pair of runs.  BOXSCORE

March 23, vs. Millikin (IL) University
The Lady Cougars closed out one of their best spring trips in the program's history as MVNU downed Millikin 6-2 for the team's fifth straight victory at the Orlando Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Florida.  Kylie Rupert (3-1) picked up the win as she scattered seven hits, two walks, and two runs over five innings with four strikeouts.  Kristin Eyerman worked the final two innings and gave up just two hits to notch her third save.  Offensively, Laura Kot went 3-for-4 with a triple, two singles, and three runs scored, while Caitlin Murphy and Michelle Gastin each drove in two runs.  Tasha Konkle also recorded a double.  BOXSCORE

March 23, vs. Illinois Wesleyan University
MVNU broke a scoreless tie with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and three more in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Lady Cougars prevailed over Illinois Wesleyan 6-2 at the Orlando Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Florida.  Kristin Eyerman (5-1) posted the win on the mound as she allowed just four hits and two runs with five strikeouts and no walks over seven innings.  Meanwhile, Karly Clay went 3-for-4 to lead the offensive attack, and Laura Kot, Leslie Banichar, and Lauretta Wallace each had two hits with Wallace ripping a pair of doubles.  BOXSCORE

MVNU rallied from a 4-2 deficit to send the game into extra innings and then scored twice in the eighth inning to pull out a 6-5 win over previously unbeaten St. Norbert at the Orlando Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Florida.  Laura Kot went 3-for-3 to lead the offense, while Michelle Gastin and Leslie Banichar each had two hits with Gastin's two-out two-run double knotting the score in the bottom of the seventh inning.  Meanwhile, Kristin Eyerman (4-1) earned the victory on the mound as she scattered eight hits, one walk, and five runs over eight innings with five strikeouts.  BOXSCORE

March 20, vs. Washington & Jefferson (PA) College
The Lady Cougars built a 4-0 lead and then held on for a 4-3 victory over Washington & Jefferson at the Orlando Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Florida.  MVNU scored four runs in the top of the fourth inning to break a scoreless tie and then pulled out a one-run win.  Kylie Rupert (1-1) started and earned the victory as she allowed six hits and three runs over 5.1 innings with four strikeouts.  Kristin Eyerman came on to record the final four outs as she struck out one batter while picking up her second save of the year.  Laura Kot paced the offense by going 3-for-5, and Whitney Clark added two hits.  BOXSCORE

The Lady Cougars suffered their first loss of the season as MVNU managed just seven hits and committed two errors while falling 6-0 to Hope at the Orlando Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Florida.  Tasha Konkle paced the offense by going 3-for-3, while Laura Kot added two hits.  On the mound, Kylie Rupert (0-1) suffered the loss as she allowed five hits, five walks, and three runs over 2.2 innings with two strikeouts.  Staci Graham worked the final 3.1 innings and scattered eight hits and three runs with two strikeouts.  BOXSCORE

MVNU held on for a 4-2 victory over Messiah as the Lady Cougars won their fifth straight game in action at the Orlando Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Florida.  Tasha Konkle had two hits including her first career home run to go with two runs scored and two RBI.  Caitlin Murphy and Leslie Banichar also had two hits apiece.  Meanwhile, Kristin Eyerman (3-0) picked up the win on the mound as she scattered eight hits, one walk, and two runs with two strikeouts over seven innings.  BOXSCORE

March 17, vs. Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts
The Lady Cougars took control of the game by sending 16 batters to the plate and scoring 11 runs in the top of the fourth inning on the way to a 15-0 victory over Massachusetts-Liberal Arts at the Orlando Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Florida.  Michelle Gastin led the way by going 4-for-4, while Caitlin Murphy, Karly Clay, Lauretta Wallace, and Tasha Konkle added two hits apiece.  Laura Kot also scored three runs and stole two bases.  Meanwhile, Staci Graham (1-0) earned the win on the mound with her first career shutout as she allowed just two hits and two walks over five innings with one strikeout.  BOXSCORE

March 17, vs. Penn State (PA) University-Behrend
MVNU got off to a good start on its annual spring trip as the Lady Cougars jumped out to a 7-0 lead and cruised to a 9-1 win over Penn State-Behrend at the Orlando Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Florida.  Laura Kot paced the offense by going 3-for-4, while Karly Clay and Michelle Gastin added two hits apiece.  On the mound, Kristin Eyerman (2-0) earned the win as she scattered six hits, one walk, and one unearned run over five innings with a season-high eight strikeouts.  BOXSCORE

March 13, at Saint Vincent (PA) College
The Lady Cougars rallied from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to post a 7-3 victory in the second game of a non-conference twinbill at Saint Vincent.  Laura Kot led the offensive attack with three hits, while Karly Clay's two-out triple in the top of the fifth inning gave MVNU the lead for good at 4-3.  Staci Graham started and worked two-plus innings as she gave up six hits, one walk, and three runs with two strikeouts.  Colleen Potter (1-0) followed and worked 3.1 scoreless innings as she surrendered five hits and two walks with one strikeout to pick up the win.  Kristin Eyerman retired the final five batters with two strikeouts to earn her first save of the year.  BOXSCORE

March 13, at Saint Vincent (PA) College
Kristin Eyerman tossed a one-hit shutout and Melody Blimline and Karly Clay each hit two-run homers to lead MVNU to a 4-0 victory in the first game of a non-conference doubleheader at Saint Vincent to open the 2007 season.  Eyerman (1-0) allowed just a lead-off double in the bottom of the third inning and a walk to start the game in the bottom of the first inning while striking out five batters.  Clay finished with a double and a home run to lead the offense, while Chelsea Kellerman ripped a pair of doubles.  Caitlin Murphy and Laura Kot added a double and a single apiece, and Tasha Konkle had one double.  BOXSCORE
