April 27, URBANA UNIVERSITY
MVNU closed out its season with an 8-2 victory over Urbana in the
second game of an American Mideast Conference South Division
doubleheader. Stephanie Johnson tied a school record with
two triples in the game as she went 3-for-4 and drove in four
runs. Laura Kot also went 3-for-3 and scored two runs.
On the mound, Heather Clark (5-9) earned the win as she allowed
just five hits, one walk, and two runs over seven innings with
five strikeouts.

Offensively, Chelsea Kellerman collected two of the Lady
Cougars' seven hits, while Karly Clay added a two-run double and
Stephanie Johnson ripped a run-scoring triple.

took an early 3-0 lead and held on for the win. Chelsea
Kellerman drove in two runs, while Elizabeth Wilson and
Stephanie Johnson also had an RBI apiece. On the mound,
Kristin Eyerman (7-12) earned the win in relief as she allowed
just four hits and two runs over the final 4 1/3 innings with
three strikeouts. Heather Clark started and gave up two
hits and one run over 2 2/3 innings before taking a line drive
off her pitching hand.

The Lady Cougars rallied for a 4-3 victory over Saint Vincent in
the first game of a non-conference twinbill. Trailing 3-1
going into the bottom of the sixth inning after committing six
errors, MVNU scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth and
held on for the win. Karly Clay had a two-run triple in
the inning, and Elizabeth Wilson had her first hit of the season
- a two-out RBI-single - that plated the winning run.
Whitney Clark also added an run-scoring triple. On the
mound, Kristin Eyerman (6-12) picked up the victory as she
allowed just four hits and three runs (only one earned) over
seven innings with four strikeouts.

MVNU fell 7-4 to Cedarville in the second game of an American
Mideast Conference South Division doubleheader. Kristin
Eyerman (5-12) suffered the loss on the mound as she allowed

four strikeouts. Offensively, Laura Kot and Carol
Montgomery each had two hits and scored two runs with Montgomery
also driving in two runs.

The Lady Cougars dropped a 7-1 decision to Cedarville in the first
game of an American Mideast Conference South Division twinbill
as MVNU managed just six hits and committed four errors.
Heather Clark (4-5) took the loss as she gave up nine hits and
seven runs (only three earned) over seven innings with two
strikeouts. Meanwhile, Kylie Rupert led the Lady Cougars
with two hits, and Stephanie Johnson hit a double to become the
program's all-time leader in that category with 48 in her
career.

MVNU blanked Geneva 9-0 in the first game of what was supposed to
be non-conference doubleheader, but the second game was rained
out with the score tied at 3-3 in the top of the fifth inning.
Heather Clark (4-4) scattered six hits and two walks over six
innings while striking out five batters to pick up the win for
the Lady Cougars. Meanwhile, Stephanie Johnson and Laura
Kot each had three hits with Johnson driving in three runs.
Karly Clay, Chelsea Kellerman, and Enid Tidyman also added two
hits apiece.

national poll, rallied for a 4-3 victory in the second game of

Karly Clay led MVNU with two hits, while Stephanie Johnson also
drove in a run with an RBI-single. On the mound, Heather
Clark (3-4) took the loss as she allowed 13 hits and four runs
over 6 2/3 innings with one strikeout.

Conference South Division twinbill with Walsh to snap the Lady
Cougars' eight-game losing skid. Kristin Eyerman (5-10)
earned the win as she allowed just four hits, four walks, and
two runs over seven innings with two strikeouts. Stephanie
Johnson paced the offensive attack with two hits including her
second home run of the season as she drove in two runs.
MVNU's defense also turned a season-high three double plays in
the game.

Morris and Carol Montgomery each added a single. On the
