May 4, at Saint Vincent (PA) College
The Lady Cougars closed out their season with a six-game winning streak as MVNC blanked Saint Vincent 10-0 in the nightcap of an American Mideast Conference doubleheader. Michelle Krone (4-5) tossed her second career shutout to pick up the win in the final game of her career as she allowed just two hits and one walk. Shelly Claxon went 4-for-4 in the final game of her career, while Amanda Triplett closed out her career with a triple, a single, and four runs batted in. MVNC won its fifth straight game overall and its eighth straight American Mideast Conference contest with a 7-0 shutout of Saint Vincent in the first game of a conference doubleheader. Shannon Rachel (18-5) tossed her fourth straight shutout and won her seventh straight game as she allowed just seven hits and one walk to run her scoreless inning streak to 26 straight. The Lady Cougars matched their longest winning streak of the season as MVNC won its fourth straight game with a 9-2 victory over Seton Hill in the nightcap of an American Mideast Conference twinbill. The ninth-seeded Lady Cougars finished tied for fifth place at the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament as MVNC was eliminated by host Indiana Wesleyan, the fifth seed, 10-2.
