March 20, vs. Christian Heritage (CA) College
The third-seeded Cougars shot just 36.9 percent from the field as MVNU fell 87-69 to top-seeded
Christian Heritage in the championship game of the National Christian College Athletic Association
National Tournament in Frankfort, Kentucky. Benji Hall led the Cougars with 22 points off the
bench, while Mark Hess added a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds as he was named to the
All-National Tournament Team. Ryan Seesholtz also scored 10 points, and Andy Dunn and Matt Hilbert

March 19, vs. Bethel (IN) College
MVNU, the third seed, shot 58.3 percent from the field as the Cougars cruised past second-seeded
Bethel 79-66 in the semifinals of the National Christian College Athletic Association National
Tournament in Frankfort, Kentucky. Andy Dunn led the Cougars with 20 points, while Mark Hess
added 15 points. Ryan Seesholtz tossed in 11 points, and Dan Weston grabbed a game-high eight
rebounds. MVNU held Bethel 22 points below their scoring average and forced the Pilots to 15.8

March 18, vs. Central Baptist (AR) College
The third-seeded Cougars downed sixth-seeded Central Baptist 83-73 in the first round of the
National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Andy Dunn led MVNU with a game-high 29 points, while Mark Hess finished with 15 points and a career-high
19 rebounds. Ryan Seesholtz added 12 points and eight rebounds, and Matt Hilbert and Benji Hall
each contributed eight points with Hilbert grabbing nine rebounds. The Cougars held a commanding

March 13, NYACK (NY) COLLEGE
After an 18-day layoff, MVNU dropped a hard-fought 72-70 decision to Nyack
in the championship game of the National Christian College Athletic
Association East Region Tournament. Andy Dunn led the Cougars with a
game-high 21 points as he nailed five three-pointers, while Mark Hess
added 16 points. Matt Hilbert finished with eight points and six
rebounds, but his putback at the buzzer was waved off when another MVNU

February 24, GENEVA (PA) COLLEGE
The Cougars, who were the top seed from the American Mideast Conference
South Division, fell 96-83 to Geneva, the fourth seed from the AMC North
Division, in the first round of the AMC Tournament. Matt Hilbert led
MVNU with 17 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, while Mark Hess added 15
points. Andrew Thompson and Ryan Seesholtz tossed in 10 and nine
points respectively off the bench, and Steve Mayes finished with seven

February 21, MALONE COLLEGE
MVNU closed out the regular season with an 86-71 American Mideast
Conference South Division victory over Malone as the Cougars finished tied
for second place in the AMC South Division standings with a 13-5 mark that
equaled the school record for most conference wins. Andy Dunn led
the way for MVNU with 22 points and six assists, while Matt Hilbert added
18 points and eight rebounds. Benji Hall contributed 14 points,
eight rebounds, three blocked shots, and three assists, and Mark Hess
grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds. John Regula and Andrew Thompson

The Cougars rallied from a 15-point first-half deficit for a 74-70
overtime victory at Walsh in American Mideast Conference South Division
action. With the victory, MVNU posted its seventh 20-win season in
the past eight years and clinched a home game in the first round of the
AMC Tournament. Andy Dunn led the Cougars with a game-high 30 points
as he went 6-for-10 from three-point range. Mark Hess added 13
points, while Benji Hall grabbed a team-high seven rebounds to go with
eight points. Matt Hilbert's jumper with 1.1 seconds left in
regulation sent the game to overtime, and Steve Mayes also blocked a career-high six shots in

College
MVNU had its four-game winning streak snapped as the Cougars dropped a
hard-fought 85-79 non-conference decision at Geneva. Andy Dunn led
MVNU with 22 points as he nailed five three-pointers. Matt Hilbert
added a double-double with 17 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, while
Andrew Thompson tossed in 16 points off the bench - all in the second

The Cougars avenged an earlier loss to Urbana by rolling past the Blue
Knights 91-66 in American Mideast Conference South Division play to secure
a spot in the AMC Tournament. Andy Dunn led the way with a game-high
23 points, while Ryan Seesholtz added 15 points and a career-high nine
rebounds. Andrew Thompson tossed in 14 points off the bench, and
Matt Hilbert posted a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 13

MVNU pulled out a hard-fought 76-74 overtime win at Shawnee State in
American Mideast Conference South Division action as the Cougars handed
the Bears only their second home loss of the season. Andy Dunn led
MVNU with a game-high 27 points as he went 7-for-12 from three-point
range, while Mark Hess added 19 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
Andrew Thompson tallied eight points off the bench, and Matt Hilbert
grabbed eight rebounds to go with six points. Alan Bock also

The Cougars held on for a 66-60 American Mideast Conference South Division
victory at Tiffin as Andy Dunn led the way with a game-high 25
points. Alan Bock added seven points, a game-high six assists, and a

seven points off the bench. Mark Hess and Ryan Seesholtz also each

GRANDE
MVNU upset 15th-ranked Rio Grande 79-68 in American Mideast Conference
South Division play to sweep the season series with the Redmen for only
the second time in school history. Andy Dunn led the Cougars with a
game-high 19 points, while Ryan Seesholtz continued to play well with 14
points off the bench. Mark Hess added 12 points and a game-high
seven rebounds, and Alan Bock tossed in 10 points with five assists and
four steals. Matt Hilbert also contributed nine points, six

University
After trailing by 23 points at the half, the Cougars closed the gap to
eight points before falling 95-86 at Ohio Dominican in American Mideast
Conference South Division action. Andy Dunn scored 25 points with
seven three-pointers to lead MVNU as 22 of his points came in the second
half. Ryan Seesholtz added a career-high 21 points off the bench,
while Mark Hess and Andrew Thompson contributed 12 and 10 points
respectively. Matt Hilbert also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

MVNU suffered its first home American Mideast Conference South Division
loss of the year as the Cougars fell 94-85 to Cedarville, ranked 12th in
NAIA Division II. Andrew Thompson led MVNU with a career-high 19
points off the bench, while Benji Hall added 15 points. Andy Dunn
and Alan Bock each finished with 11 points, and Mark Hess tallied 10
points and eight rebounds. Matt Hilbert also registered eight points

January 24, WALSH UNIVERSITY
The Cougars posted one of their best defensive performances of the season
as MVNU defeated Walsh 57-45 in American Mideast Conference South Division
action. Mark Hess led the way with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while
Andy Dunn and Andrew Thompson each added eight points. The Cougars
held Walsh to just 24.3 percent shooting from the field, and the 45 points
allowed was the lowest total since allowing just 30 points in a win over

MVNU rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to defeat Tiffin 65-56 in
American Mideast Conference South Division play. Mark Hess posted a
double-double with a game-high 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Andy Dunn
scored 21 points and became the 26th player in school history to reach the
1,000-point mark. Matt Hilbert added a double-double of his own with
11 points and a career-high 17 rebounds, and Ryan Seesholtz matched his
career high with six rebounds as the Cougars out-rebounded the Dragons

The Cougars had their three-game winning streak snapped as Urbana pulled
out an 81-78 upset win in American Mideast Conference South Division
action. Andy Dunn led MVNU with a game-high 26 points, but saw his
school-record free throw streak end at 36 consecutive makes. Matt
Hilbert added 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, and Mark Hess also
finished with 13 points. The Cougars shot just 19-for-30 from the

MVNU cruised to a 94-77 American Mideast Conference South Division victory
over Wilberforce. Mark Hess posted a double-double with 24 points
and a career-high 14 rebounds to lead the way as he went 12-for-15 from
the field, while Benji Hall and Andy
Dunn added 17 points apiece. Alan Bock scored a career-high eight
points and dished out a game-high seven assists, and Matt Hilbert

Dominican 67-63 in American Mideast Conference South Division
action. Andy Dunn, who finished with a game-high 18 points, nailed a
pair of free throws with 3.9 seconds left to ice the victory. Matt
Hilbert, who was a key figure in the second-half comeback, added 16
points and a game-high 13 points, while Benji Hall tallied 11
points. Chip Wilson also dished out a game-high five assists, and

University
MVNU rallied from a 17-point second-half deficit as Andy Dunn's three free
throws with two seconds left gave the Cougars a 75-73 American Mideast
Conference South Division win at Wilberforce. Dunn finished with a
game-high 29 points and was 11-for-11 at the free throw line. Mark
Hess posted a double-double with 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds,
and Dan Weston grabbed nine rebounds off the bench. MVNU was

The Cougars dropped an 84-76 American Mideast Conference South Division
decision at Malone. Andy Dunn led MVNU with 28 points as he was
6-for-12 from three-point range. Mark Hess added 15 points, while
Matt Hilbert posted a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 11
rebounds. The Cougars out-rebounded Malone 34-28 for the game, but

UNIVERSITY
After missing 12 of its first 13 shots from the field and trailing by 17
points in the first half, MVNU rallied in the second half and held on for
an exciting 57-56 win over Shawnee State in American Mideast Conference
South Division action. The final point total was the Cougars' lowest
in a win in 16 years. Andy Dunn led MVNU with 14 points and four
treys, while Andrew Thompson contributed 12 points off the bench.
Ryan Seesholtz also scored a career-high 11 points off the bench, while

University
After trailing for most of the game, the Cougars built a nine-point lead
with 3:18 to play only to see it slip away as Cedarville, ranked second in
NAIA Division II, scored the final 12 points and pulled out a 79-76
American Mideast Conference South Division victory as the Yellow Jackets
nailed 14 three-pointers. Benji Hall led the Cougars with 20 points
and eight rebounds, while Matt Hilbert added 16 points and seven
rebounds. Andy Dunn finished with 15 points, and Mark Hess recorded

December 18, NOTRE DAME COLLEGE
MVNU pulled away in the second half for a 78-58 non-conference win over
Notre Dame in the Cougars' final game before the holiday break. Andy
Dunn led the way for MVNU by nailing six three-pointers and finishing with
22 points off the bench after missing a game with the flu. Benji
Hall added 16 points, while Matt Hilbert recorded 12 points and nine

University-Marion
The Cougars rallied from a 12-point deficit to pull away for an 88-70
non-conference victory at Ohio State-Marion. Playing without leading
scorer Andy Dunn, John Regula, and Candun Griffin, who did not make the
trip due to illness, MVNU relied on its defense in the second half
as the Cougars held the Scarlet Wave to 21 points and 20.6 percent
shooting from the field in the final period. Benji Hall led MVNU
with a career-high 28 points, while Andrew Thompson matched his career
high with 18 points as he started in place of Dunn. Mark Hess posted
a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Dan Weston added eight

Grande
MVNU rallied from a 14-point deficit to post a hard-fought 72-66 win in
overtime at Rio Grande, who received votes in the latest NAIA Division II
poll, in the American Mideast Conference South Division
opener for both teams. Andy Dunn led the Cougars with 25 points - 21
of them coming in the second half, while Mark Hess added 15 points and a
career-high 13 rebounds.
Ryan Seesholtz and Benji Hall also finished with eight points
apiece. The win was only the third ever for MVNU at Rio

December 6, DEFIANCE COLLEGE
The Cougars fell 74-58 to Defiance in the championship game of the Food
for the Hungry Holiday Invitational. The visiting Yellow Jackets
used a 55-19 run midway through the game to propel them to the
victory. Andy Dunn led MVNU with 13 points, while Benji Hall added
11 points as both players were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Mark Hess finished with 10 points and eight rebounds, and Matt Hilbert

UNIVERSITY
MVNU shot 60 percent from the field in the first half and built a 27-point
lead early in the second half before surviving a furious rally by Madonna
to post a 93-84 win in the first round of the Food for the Hungry Holiday
Invitational. Andy Dunn paced the Cougars with a career-high 33
points as he nailed seven three-pointers. Benji Hall added a
career-high 21 points, while Matt Hilbert added 16 points and a
career-high 14 rebounds. Mark Hess also chipped in with 13 points,

The Cougars fell 88-79 in double overtime to Point Park in non-conference
action. MVNU erased a 13-point deficit in the second half to send
the game to overtime. After the two teams each scored five points in
the first extra period, the Cougars managed just eight points in the
second overtime while Point Park scored 17 points. Andrew Thompson paced MVNU with a career-high 18 points
off the bench. Benji Hall added 15 points, eight rebounds, and five
assists, while Andy Dunn tossed in 13 points. Matt Hilbert posted a

The Cougars won their fourth straight game with a 76-59 victory at La
Sierra in the first of two games on their West Coast trip. Andy Dunn
led the way for MVNU with 19 points, while Mark Hess added 14 points and
eight rebounds. Dan Weston tossed in 10 points off the bench, while John
Regula scored all nine of his points in the second half. With the
Cougars leading 44-41 midway through the second half, MVNU closed the game

road game. Andy Dunn paced the Cougars with a game-high 24 points,

was named to the All-Tournament Team. Mark Hess posted his first
career double-double with 13 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while

November 7, vs. Milligan (TN) College
MVNU successfully opened the 2003-2004 season as the Cougars rallied from
a 14-point first-half deficit to knock off Milligan 80-72 in the first
round of the Berea (KY) College Pepsi Invitational Tournament. Freshman Mark
Hess had a memorable college debut as he led all scorers with 25 points to
go with seven rebounds. Andy Dunn added 16 points, and Matt Hilbert
recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. John Regula
