March 22, vs. Crichton (TN) College
MVNU closed out its season with a 103-95 victory over eighth-seeded Crichton as the seventh-seeded Cougars took fifth place at the 2003 National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament. Anthony Delimpo led MVNU with 29 points on 14-of-19 shooting from the field. Phil Argento, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, and Andy Dunn added 20 points apiece, and Konrod Morris posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Brad Moser also dished out a game-high eight assists to go with seven points.  BOXSCORE

March 21, vs. Warner Pacific (OR) College
The Cougars, seeded seventh, knocked off sixth-seeded Warner Pacific 104-100 in overtime in the consolation round of the 2003 National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament. Phil Argento led the team with 27 points and five three-pointers, while Andy Dunn tossed in 23 points off the bench on 7-of-8 shooting from the field that included making all five of his three-point attempts. Benji Hall contributed career highs of 18 points and nine rebounds off the bench, and Konrod Morris just missed a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.   BOXSCORE

March 20, vs. Christian Heritage (CA) College
MVNU opened play at the 2003 National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament as the seventh-seeded Cougars fell 103-80 to second-seeded Christian Heritage after a 26-day layoff since their last game. Phil Argento led MVNU with 21 points in the loss, while Konrod Morris posted a double-double with 17 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. February 22, GENEVA (PA) COLLEGE
The Cougars closed out the regular season with a hard-fought 94-87 victory over Geneva in non-conference action.  Phil Argento led all scorers with 25 points and broke the school's single-season three-point record in his final home game.  Anthony Delimpo added a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Andy Dunn tossed in 16 points.  Konrod Morris scored eight points, and Brad Moser added six points and six rebounds as both players also played their final home games.  BOXSCORE

February 20, at Point Park (PA) College
MVNU dropped a 67-58 non-conference decision at Point Park as the Cougars had their lowest scoring output of the season.  Phil Argento became the program's all-time leading scorer with 12 points as he passed former MVNU standout Steve Gregory (2,242 points from 1987-1991) and now has 2,245 points.  Anthony Delimpo also posted a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds, and Brad Moser added nine points.  BOXSCORE

February 18, WILBERFORCE UNIVERSITY
The Cougars suffered their worst home loss in two years as MVNU fell 90-66 to Wilberforce in non-conference action.  Phil Argento led the Cougars with 18 points, while Andy Dunn tossed in 12 points off the bench.  Brad Moser also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, but the Cougars shot just 34.9 percent from the field.  BOXSCORE

February 11, at Tiffin University
MVNU stayed alive in its quest to make the American Mideast Conference Tournament as the Cougars posted an important 89-73 AMC South Division win at Tiffin.  Anthony Delimpo led the way with 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Phil Argento tossed in 22 points with six three-pointers.  Brad Moser and Andy Dunn also contributed 12 points apiece, and Alan Bock dished out a career-high nine assists.  BOXSCORE

February 8, WALSH UNIVERSITY
The Cougars struggled to hit their shots from both the field and the free throw line as MVNU fell 74-62 to Walsh in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Phil Argento and Anthony Delimpo each scored 15 points to lead the team, while Brad Moser added 14 points and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds.  As a team, the Cougars shot 38.3 percent from the field, 16.7 percent from three-point range, and 59.5 percent from the free throw line while committing 24 turnovers.  BOXSCORE

February 6, UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE
MVNU pulled out a hard-fought 79-70 victory over Rio Grande, who received votes in the latest NAIA Division II poll, as the Cougars won back-to-back American Mideast Conference South Division games for the first time this season.  Konrod Morris went 8-for-8 from the field and posted a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the way.  Phil Argento also tossed in 18 points, while Brad Moser and Andy Dunn each tallied 10 points.  Anthony Delimpo and Benji Hall also contributed nine points apiece as MVNU beat the Redmen for only the ninth time ever in 57 tries.  BOXSCORE

February 4, at Ohio Dominican University
Phil Argento became the all-time leader in three-pointers made in the state of Ohio as he nailed six treys as part of his 26 points in leading the Cougars to an 87-79 American Mideast Conference South Division win at Ohio Dominican.  Argento now has 430 career three-pointers to pass the previous mark of 428 set by Malone College's Phil Gebhardt from 1988-1992.  Konrod Morris added 12 points, and Anthony Delimpo posted a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds in the win.  Andy Dunn also scored 10 points off the bench.  The victory was the 250th for head coach Scott Flemming in his 13th season at MVNU.  BOXSCORE

February 1, at Cedarville University
MVNU dropped a hard-fought 88-83 decision at Cedarville, ranked 11th in NAIA Division II, in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Phil Argento scored a career-high 41 points and tied the school and conference record with 11 three-pointers to lead MVNU.  Brad Moser and Konrod Morris each added 10 points, and Andy Dunn finished with nine points and six assists.  BOXSCORE

January 28, SHAWNEE STATE UNIVERSITY
The Cougars watched a 20-point second-half lead disappear as Shawnee State rallied to defeat MVNU 81-76 in an American Mideast Conference South Division game.  Phil Argento scored a team-high 19 points to lead the Cougars, and Brad Moser added 15 points.  Andy Dunn and Anthony Delimpo tossed in 13 and 10 points respectively off the bench, while Matt Hilbert grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.  BOXSCORE

January 25, at Walsh University
MVNU rallied from an 18-point halftime deficit to knock off Walsh 78-77 in an American Mideast Conference South Division road game.  Phil Argento scored 30 of his career-high 40 points in the second half as he nearly outscored the Cavaliers in the final period.  Konrod Morris, whose free throw with 2.1 seconds left was the margin of victory, added 18 points and seven rebounds, while Matt Hilbert contributed 10 points and seven rebounds off the bench.  BOXSCORE

January 23, at Malone College
The Cougars continued to struggle with their shooting as MVNU shot just 41.9 percent from the field in dropping a 93-76 decision at Malone in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Phil Argento led the Cougars with a game-high 26 points in the loss and also made his 400th career three-pointer.  Konrod Morris added 14 points and a team-high nine rebounds, and Brad Moser and Matt Hilbert each contributed nine points.  BOXSCORE

January 21, TIFFIN UNIVERSITY
MVNU shot just 40.8 percent from the field and committed 21 turnovers as the Cougars fell 87-78 to Tiffin in an American Mideast Conference South Division game.  Phil Argento led the team with 23 points as he became only the fourth player in school history to reach the 2,000-point mark.  Anthony Delimpo added 21 points, while Andy Dunn and Brad Moser rounded out the double-figure scorers with 13 and 10 points respectively.  Konrod Morris matched his career high with 15 rebounds, while Matt Hilbert also grabbed a career-high 10 boards.  BOXSCORE

January 18, URBANA UNIVERSITY
The Cougars shot 54.9 percent from the field as MVNU downed Urbana in an American Mideast Conference South Division game.  Anthony Delimpo went 12-for-14 from the field to finish with a game-high 26 points, while Phil Argento added 20 points.  Andrew Thompson also tossed in nine points off the bench, and Konrod Morris grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.  BOXSCORE

January 14, OHIO DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY
MVNU dropped an 82-71 American Mideast Conference South Division game against Ohio Dominican as the Cougars committed 18 turnovers and were out-rebounded 37-32.  Phil Argento led MVNU with a game-high 24 points as he nailed five three-pointers to became the school's career leader with 389.  Konrod Morris added 13 points and seven rebounds, and Brad Moser finished with nine points.  Anthony Delimpo and Andy Dunn each tallied eight points with Delimpo grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds.  BOXSCORE

January 9, MALONE COLLEGE
The Cougars, ranked #21 in the latest NAIA Division II poll, pulled out a hard-fought 86-79 victory over Malone in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Brad Moser led the way for MVNU with a career-high 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field that included five treys.  Phil Argento added 20 points and grabbed a share of the school's career three-pointers made record as his five in the game gave him 384 to equal the mark previously set by Ehren Hull (1995-1999).  Konrod Morris finished with 15 points, while Andrew Thompson matched his career-high with 12 points off the bench.  Matt Hilbert and Anthony Delimpo also grabbed seven rebounds apiece to pace the team.  BOXSCORE

January 7, at Shawnee State University
MVNU, ranked #21 in the latest NAIA Division II poll, tried to rally from a 19-point second-half deficit, but the Cougars fell 99-88 at Shawnee State, ranked 14th in NAIA Division II, in an American Mideast Conference South Division game.  Andy Dunn led MVNU with 21 points, while Anthony Delimpo added 20 points and nine rebounds.  Matt Hilbert finished with 12 points, and Konrod Morris and Brad Moser tallied 11 points apiece with Morris grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds.  Phil Argento also tossed in 10 points.  BOXSCORE

January 4, CEDARVILLE UNIVERSITY
The Cougars, ranked ninth in the latest NAIA Division II poll, suffered their first home loss of the season as Cedarville, who received votes in the NAIA Division II poll, nipped MVNU 81-79.  Phil Argento led the Cougars with a game-high 20 points, while Brad Moser added 18 points.  Anthony Delimpo finished with 12 points and a team-high 11 rebounds in his first action after missing two games due to an injury, and Andy Dunn rounded out the double figure scorers with 11 points.  MVNU committed 18 turnovers in the loss.  BOXSCORE

December 18, at Webber International (FL) University
MVNU, ranked ninth in the latest NAIA Division II poll, snapped its brief two-game losing skid as the Cougars downed Webber International 106-94 to finish second at the Warriors' Classic.  Phil Argento led the way with 23 points, while Konrod Morris finished with 22 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.  Andy Dunn contributed 18 points and nine assists, and Matt Hilbert scored a career-high 16 points.  Brad Moser also tallied 15 points and nine rebounds.  Argento and Morris were named to the All-Tournament Team.  BOXSCORE

December 17, vs. Freed-Hardeman (TN) University
The Cougars, ranked ninth in the latest NAIA Division II poll, dropped their second straight game as MVNU fell to NAIA Division I #21 Freed-Hardeman 118-97 at the Webber International University Classic.  Phil Argento paced the Cougars with a career-high 36 points and 10 three-pointers, but it was not enough as the Lions shot a sizzling 68.8 percent from the field.  Brad Moser added 14 points, while Andy Dunn posted a double-double with 13 points and a career-high 10 assists.  Benji Hall also tossed in 13 points off the bench, and Matt Hilbert contributed nine points and 10 rebounds in his first career start.  BOXSCORE

December 14, at University of Rio Grande
MVNU, ranked ninth in the latest NAIA Division II poll, saw its school-record 14-game winning streak come to an end as the Cougars fell 89-81at Rio Grande in American Mideast Conference South Division action.  Brad Moser led six players in double figures with 15 points, while Anthony Delimpo and Matt Hilbert each tallied 12 points.  Benji Hall added 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds off the bench, and Phil Argento and Andy Dunn also scored 11 points apiece.  BOXSCORE

December 7, UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN-DEARBORN
The Cougars equaled the longest winning streak in school history as MVNU, ranked 17th in the latest NAIA Division II poll, won its 14th straight game dating back to last season with a 93-61 victory over Michigan-Dearborn in the championship game of the Food for the Hungry Holiday Invitational.  Phil Argento, the tournament's Most Valuable Player, led the way with 33 points and nine treys, while Anthony Delimpo added 15 points.  Nick Zarley tossed in a career-high 12 points off the bench, and Matt Hilbert grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.  Argento was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Delimpo and Andy Dunn.  BOXSCORE

December 6, NOTRE DAME COLLEGE
MVNU extended its winning streak to 13 consecutive games as the Cougars, ranked 17th in the latest NAIA Division II poll, downed Notre Dame 87-76 in the first round of the Food for the Hungry Holiday Invitational.  Andy Dunn matched his career high with 25 points to lead six players in double figures.  Konrod Morris added 14 points and nine rebounds, while Anthony Delimpo posted a double-double with 13 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.  Phil Argento (12), Brad Moser (11), and Matt Hilbert (10) rounded out the double figure scorers.  BOXSCORE

December 3, KENYON COLLEGE
The Cougars, ranked 17th in the latest NAIA Division II poll, won their twelfth straight game and remained unbeaten on the season as MVNU downed Kenyon 95-76 in a non-conference game between the two Knox County schools.  Phil Argento led five Cougars in double figures with 22 points, while Konrod Morris and Andy Dunn finished with 12 points apiece.  Andrew Thompson tossed in 11 points off the bench, and Anthony Delimpo added 10 points and nine rebounds.  BOXSCORE

November 26, at Wilberforce University
MVNU remained unbeaten on the season and extended its winning streak to 11 in a row dating back to last season as the Cougars downed Wilberforce 109-94 in non-conference action.  Phil Argento led seven players in double figures with 29 points, while Konrod Morris added 15 points, six rebounds, and a career-high five assists.  Benji Hall and Andy Dunn tossed in 14 and 13 points respectively, and Brad Moser tallied 12 points.  Matt Hilbert and Anthony Delimpo each scored 10 points with Hilbert grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds.  BOXSCORE

November 23, at Defiance College
The Cougars made it six straight wins to start the season as MVNU won the Defiance College Tip-off Tournament with a 97-86 win over the host Yellow Jackets.  Phil Argento tossed in a career-high 34 points to lead the way, while Andy Dunn added 22 points and a career-high nine assists.  Anthony Delimpo also finished with 16 points as all three players were named to the All-Tournament Team with Dunn earning Most Valuable Player honors.  Brad Moser was also selected as the Hustle Award recipient for the tournament after recording six points, six assists, and five rebounds, and Benji Hall led the team with a career-high seven rebounds off the bench.  BOXSCORE

November 22, vs. Bethel (IN) College
MVNU won its fifth straight game to open the season as the Cougars downed Bethel 101-96 in the first round of the Defiance College Tip-off Tournament.  Andy Dunn led the team with a career-high 25 points that included six three-pointers, while Anthony Delimpo finished with 16 points.  Phil Argento added 15 points, and Konrod Morris posted a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.  Brad Moser just missed a triple-double with nine points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists, while Benji Hall and Andrew Thompson contributed eight points apiece off the bench.  BOXSCORE

November 19, at Notre Dame College
The Cougars remained unbeaten as MVNU knocked off Notre Dame 90-78 in a non-conference game.  Andy Dunn led the way with  21 points as he nailed seven three-pointers in nine attempts from beyond the arc.  Phil Argento added 20 points and a game-high five assists, while Anthony Delimpo finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks.  Brad Moser rounded out the double figure scorers with 12 points.  The Cougars nailed 16 treys in the game.  BOXSCORE

November 16, GRACE (IN) COLLEGE
MVNU had four starters in double figures as the Cougars downed previously unbeaten Grace 94-77 in the championship game of the Cougar Homecoming Classic.  Phil Argento, the tournament's Most Valuable Player, led the way with 25 points and six treys, while Brad Moser added 19 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.  Konrod Morris posted a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Andy Dunn tossed in 11 points.  Benji Hall also finished with nine points off the bench.  Moser and Morris joined Argento on the All-Tournament Team.  BOXSCORE

November 15, KENTUCKY CHRISTIAN COLLEGE
The Cougars placed five players in double figures as MVNU rolled past Kentucky Christian 116-68 in the first round of the Cougar Homecoming Classic.  Phil Argento led the way with 21 points, but the story was the Cougars' bench which combined for 63 points to nearly out-score the Knights.  Benji Hall and Andrew Thompson each set new career highs with 15 and 12 points respectively, while Dan Weston tallied 11 points.  Matt Hilbert also posted his first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  BOXSCORE

November 12, at Ohio State University-Newark
MVNU successfully opened the year with an 88-57 non-conference victory at Ohio State-Newark as the Cougars out-rebounded the Titans 62-34.  Anthony Delimpo led the way with 21 points and a career-high 15 rebounds, while Konrod Morris also posted a double-double with 14 points and a career-high 15 rebounds.  Phil Argento added 12 points, and Benji Hall scored 11 points off the bench.  Matt Hilbert also grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds, while Andrew Thompson tossed in nine points.  BOXSCORE
