Cold shooting second half dooms Cougars in AMC opener

Asbury's last second shots do in Cougars 85-84 in overtime
November 13th, 2009The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s basketball team saw visiting Asbury (Ky.) College hit a game-tying layup just ahead of the buzzer at the end of regulation and then nail a three-pointer with 5.3 seconds left in overtime as the Cougars dropped a tough 85-84 decision in MVNU’s annual Homecoming game on Friday night in the Physical Education Center.
