April 29-30, at AMC/NAIA Region IX
Tournament
The Cougars finished fifth out of 13 teams at the 54-hole American Mideast
Conference/NAIA Region IX Tournament that was held at Apple Valley Golf
Course. Malone College, who was ranked 23rd in the latest NAIA
national poll, won the event with a team total of 918. Shawnee State
University (930), Tiffin University (931), Walsh University (933), and
MVNU (944) rounded out the top five. Nathanael Petry fired a 228 to
finish one stroke off the individual lead and earn All-AMC honors.
Brian Bumgarner and Scott Snyder carded a 238 and a 239 respectively,
while Raynard Martin shot a 240. Brandon Kenney wrapped up the
scoring with a 242. Individual

April 26, at Otterbein College Invitational
MVNU finished third out of 10 teams at the 36-hole Otterbein College
Invitational held at Medallion Country Club. The Cougars finished
with a 634 to finish behind host Otterbein (598) and Franklin (IN) College
(621). Nathanael Petry led MVNU with a 153, while Brian Bumgarner
shot a 155. Raynard Martin and Scott Snyder carded a 162 and a 164
respectively, and Brandon Kenney rounded out the scoring with a 166.

April 19-20, at Cedarville
University Invitational
The Cougars finished third out of seven teams at the Cedarville University
Invitational as MVNU fired a team total of 626. Shawnee State
University won the two-day event as they shot 308 at Beavercreek Golf Club
and 299 at the Country Club of the North for a team total of 607.
Nathanael Petry and Brian Bumgarner each finished with a 156 to lead the
Cougars, while Scott Snyder shot a 158. Raynard Martin carded a 159,
and Brandon Kenney rounded out the scoring with a 163. Individual

April 16-17, McKNIGHT GROUP COUGAR
CLASSIC
MVNU won its second straight tournament as the Cougars fired a two-day 600
at Apple Valley Golf Course to win the McKnight Group Cougar
Classic. Walsh University finished second at 611, while Malone
College, who was ranked 20th in the latest NAIA national poll, was third
at 612. Individually, Nathanael Petry was the runner-up at 146,
while he was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Brian Bumgarner at
148. Raynard Martin (152), Scott Snyder (155), and Brandon Kenney
(158) rounded out the scoring for MVNU. Derek Clark (156), Dan Yost
(169), and Bryce Arndt (173) also competed as at-large players. Individual

April 12-13, at Walsh University Invitational
The Cougars rallied from a 14-stroke deficit after the first round to win
the Walsh University Invitational by five strokes. MVNU shot 333 in
the first round at Prestwick Country Club to trail Urbana University by 14
strokes. However, the Cougars rallied for the win by firing a
blistering 300 at Raintree Country Club to finish at 633 ahead of Tiffin
University (638), Malone College (639), ranked 22nd in the NAIA national
poll, and Urbana (639). Nathanael Petry continued to play well as he
finished as the individual runner-up at 157. Brian Bumgarner added a
160, while Scott Snyder registered a 161. Raynard Martin fired a
162, and Brandon Kenney rounded out the scoring at 164. Individual

April 9-10, at Urbana University Invitational
MVNU finished second out of nine teams at the Urbana University
Invitational played at the Woodlands Golf Club. The Cougars fired a
two-day total of 608 to finish four shots back of Malone College (604),
who is ranked 22nd in the latest NAIA national poll. Nathanael Petry
earned medalist honors for the second time this spring as he finished with
a two-over-par 146 and won the event on the first playoff hole.
Brian Bumgarner and Scott Snyder registered a 150 and a 155 respectively,
while Brandon Kenney shot a 158. Raynard Martin rounded out the
scoring with a 160. Jeremy Schlabach (163), Derek Clark (168), and
Dan Yost (170) also competed as at-large participants. Individual

April 6, at University of
Indianapolis (IN) Invitational
The Cougars finished second out of 12 teams at the University of
Indianapolis (IN) Invitational as MVNU fired a 301 at The Links at
Heartland Crossing Golf Course. Marian (IN) College, ranked 24th in
the latest NAIA national poll, won the event with a four-under par
284. Brandon Kenney led the Cougars with a 74 to finish tied for
seventh individually, while Nathanael Petry and Scott Snyder tied for
tenth as they each shot a 75. Brian Bumgarner fired a 77, and
Raynard Martin rounded out the scoring with an 82. Individual

April 1-2, at Southeastern Kentucky
Intercollegiate Invitational
MVNU finished fourth out of 18 teams at the Southeastern Kentucky
Intercollegiate Invitational held at Crooked Creek Golf Course. Lee
(TN) University, ranked 17th in the latest NAIA national poll, won the
event with a two-day total of 588. The Cougars compiled a team total
of 628 to finish behind Lindsey Wilson (KY) College (621) and Cumberland
(TN) University (625). Brian Bumgarner (149) and Nathanael Petry
(152) led MVNU and were each named to the All-Tournament Team. Scott
Snyder shot 162, while Brandon Kenney added a 165. Raynard Martin
rounded out the scoring at 179. Individual

March 29, at Shawnee State
University Invitational
The Cougars won their first tournament of the spring as MVNU finished
first out of nine teams at the Shawnee State University held at Elks
Country Club. For the second straight year, the Cougars tied Tiffin
University at 296, but won 77-85 when the fifth man's score was
used. Nathanael Petry earned medalist honors to lead MVNU as he
fired an even-par 72. Raynard Martin and Scott Snyder each tallied a
74, and Brian Bumgarner added a 76. Brandon Kenney rounded out the
scoring with a 77. Dan Yost (78), Derek Clark (79), Jeremy Schlabach
(81), and Bryce Arndt (83) also played as at-large individuals. Individual

March 26-27, at Malone College Invitational
MVNU opened the spring portion of its schedule as the Cougars finished
eighth out of 13 teams at the Malone College Invitational held at soggy
Tannenhauf Golf Course. MVNU shot a two-day 617 to finish 24 strokes
behind the host Pioneers, who won the tournament at 593. Brian
Bumgarner and Nathanael Petry each shot 153 to lead the Cougars, while
Scott Snyder and Raynard Martin carded a 157 each. Brandon Kenney
rounded out the scoring with a 167. Individual

October 18, at Tri-State (IN) University Fall
Invitational
The Cougars closed out the fall portion of their 2003-2004 schedule by
winning the six-team Ken Venturi Invitational hosted by Tri-State at
Zollner Golf Course. MVNU shot a 294 to edge host Tri-State by five
strokes. Scott Snyder earned medalist honors by firing a
two-under-par 70, while Brian Bumgarner finished third overall with an
even-par 72. Nathanael Petry and Raynard Martin each carded a 76,
while Brandon Kenney rounded out the scoring with a 78. Individual

October 9-10, at Brescia (KY)
University Fall
Invitational
MVNU finished sixth out of 11 teams at the Brescia Fall Invitational held
at Christmas Lake Golf Course. The Cougars fired a two-day total of
602 to finish 16 strokes behind Lindsey Wilson (KY) College, who won the
tournament with a 586. Brandon Kenney paced MVNU with a 149 that
included an even-par 72 for the second round. Nathanael Petry and
Scott Snyder each fired a 153, while Brian Bumgarner carded a 154.
Raynard Martin rounded out the scoring with a 159. Individual

September 20, at Malone College Fall
Invitational
The Cougars finished fourth out of 10 teams at the Malone Fall
Invitational held at Tannenhauf Golf Course. MVNU fired a 302 to
finish behind host Malone 291, University of Charleston (WV) 296, and
Bethel (IN) 297 in what was originally scheduled to be a two-day event but
was shortened due to rain. Scott Snyder tied for fourth individually
as he led the Cougars with an even-par 72, while Brian Bumgarner carded a
73. Raynard Martin shot a 78, and Nathanael Petry and Derek Clark
each finished with a 79 to round out the scoring. Dan Yost also
fired an 88 as an at-large player. Individual

September 12-13, at Indiana Wesleyan
University Invitational
MVNU began its fall season by finishing second out of eight teams at the
Indiana Wesleyan Invitational played at Meshingomesia Country Club.
The Cougars' two-day total of 600 trailed only Lindenwood (MO) University,
who was ranked seventh in the 2003 NAIA final poll and shot a 586.
Brian Bumgarner paced MVNU with 146 to finish tied for second
individually, while Scott Snyder tied for fifth at 148. Nathanael
Petry and Raynard Martin each shot a 153, and Brandon Kenney rounded out
the scoring with a 164. Jeremy Schlabach and Derek Clark also posted
a 171 and a 174 respectively. Individual
