Chip
Wilson, a former Mount Vernon Nazarene University student-athlete, was
hired to serve as the head coach for the MVNU men's and women's cross
country teams that are back in existence after a 27-year absence.
Wilson was a four-year member of the MVNU men's basketball team from
2000-2004 that included being a part of the National Christian College
Athletic Association national championship team in 2001-2002. He
was a guard on the team and was an NCCAA Scholar-Athlete as a senior.
Wilson currently teaches seventh grade social studies in the Highland

conference title, while two members of the girls' cross country team
qualified for the state meet. He also had a girl qualify for the
state meet in his second season as well.
In high school, Wilson was an All-District performer in cross
