Many people automatically think of little
kids when they hear footie pajamas. Luckily
for me, it will now make me forever think of
the cross country team. The hotel that we
stayed at for the conference meet was in
walking distance to a Target. After the team
meeting, some people went over there to buy
their new favorite sleepwear.
What
might be the funniest part to the story is
that the people who purchased the pajamas
wore them to chapel one day this week. The
cross country team is defiantly not shy!
That is probably the best part of the team.
Everyone is so funny! We always find ways to
have good clean fun.
We left Friday for the conference meet
that we had on Saturday. The whole team went
to Buca Di Beppo’s for dinner. While being
there, we managed to get into a yelling
fight with another cross country team that
was across the building. It was in a
friendly way, and we all thought it was
great. It was so fun going there because it
was more like family environment. There was
someone who had a birthday, so the whole
team went over to wish her happy birthday,
even though we did not know her. At first,
we were not going to sing to her, then
Melissa Keiser decided to start scream
singing happy birthday. She should probably
be in choir.
The girls who are in my hotel room act
like we are old women. We go to bed almost
as soon as we get there. We watched the end
of Cinderella Story and then were more than
excited to get some sleep.
Saturday was amazing out, just really
windy. At that meet last year, it was
sleeting and not fun. The wind caused
problems, but we pulled through and all ran
the best that we could. What is amazing is
that after the race was over many runners
from different schools got together and
prayed. It was so great just to get everyone
together like that!
This weekend we have our FINAL race again
at Cedarville. This is the Christian
national meet. It is getting tough to run
there because it has been very repetitive,
but I know everyone will give all they have
to the final race. Wish us luck!
