2005 Baseball Game-by-Game Recaps
May 20, vs. Indiana Wesleyan University MVNU,
the top seed, was eliminated from the National Christian College Athletic
Association National Tournament as the Cougars fell 6-5 to fifth-seeded Indiana
Wesleyan in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Richey Burgos, who was 3-for-4 in the
game, hit a grand slam in the fifth inning to give MVNU a 4-1 lead. However,
Indiana Wesleyan scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull out the

MVNU pounded out 18 hits on the day as the top four hitters in the
lineup went a combined 11-for-19. Kyle Peters, Richey
Burgos, and Ty Dendinger each had three hits, while Steve Edwards,
Joel Torres, and Ray McFerren finished with two hits apiece.
