Women's Volleyball
The MVNU women's volleyball team has compiled an impressive winning
tradition over the years. In the last thirteen years alone,
the Lady Cougars have posted a 535-131 overall record (.803 winning percentage) that includes an incredible
168-19 mark at home.
MVNU has also won six conference titles during that span and finished as the NAIA
region runner-up five times.
Men's Soccer
The Cougar soccer program has posted a 114-52-12 overall record (.674
winning percentage) during the past eight years.
The team has also earned four trips to the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament with one runner-up
finish and three third-place finishes.
Women's Soccer
The MVNU women's soccer team has posted a 90-39-3 overall record in the
program's first six years as a varsity team. The Lady
Cougars won a school-record 20 matches during the 2003 season as the team
captured its first National Christian College Athletic Association
national championship. The team also won back-to-back
American Mideast Conference South Division titles in 2003 and
2004.
Men's and
Women's Cross Country
After a 27-year absence, MVNU now has a men's
and women's cross country team at the varsity level again
beginning in the fall of 2006. The Cougars previously
sponsored these sports from 1969-1979.
Men's Basketball
The Cougars have posted nine 20-win seasons in the past ten years
while compiling a 239-101 mark (.703 winning percentage) during that
span and qualifying for four NAIA Division II national tournaments
(1998-2000 and 2006) with an Elite Eight finish in 2006. The team also won the 2002 National Christian
College Athletic Association national title, and the Cougars finished
second at the 2004 NCCAA National Tournament.
Women's Basketball
The MVNU women's basketball team has recorded two 20-win seasons in
the past seven years. The Lady Cougars have also won the NCCAA East
Region title in three of the past nine seasons and advanced to the NCCAA National Tournament four times including winning
the 2001 NCCAA national championship.
Men's Baseball
The Cougar baseball program has earned the reputation as one of the finest small
college programs in the Midwest. MVNU has
had 18 players signed by professional teams with two reaching the Major
League level, while also winning eleven conference titles and an
unprecedented five National Christian College Athletic Association
national titles, including three straight (1995-1997). Over the past
twelve years, the Cougars have compiled
a 436-172 mark (.717 winning percentage) while making the school's first two
trips to the NAIA World Series in 1997 and 2004.
Women's Fastpitch Softball
The MVNU softball program has consistently produced winning seasons year in and year out as the Lady Cougars'
503-336-2 record (.599 winning percentage) over 22 seasons indicates. MVNU has been to the National Christian College Athletic Association
National Tournament nine times including a fifth-place finish in 2004.
Men's Golf
The MVNU golf team has had tremendous success in recent years. The Cougars made their
third trip to the NAIA National Tournament
in 2003 and won the American Mideast Conference/NAIA Region IX Tournament. MVNU also won the National Christian College Athletic Association Invitational Tournament
in 1994.
