Brian
Humphrey is entering his fifth year as the head athletic trainer at Mount Vernon
Nazarene University.
Prior to coming to MVNU,
Humphrey spent nine years as an assistant
athletic trainer at Kenyon College.
He also served as the head athletic trainer
for one school year each at both Sheridan
High School and Mount Vernon High School.
Humphrey graduated from MVNU
in 1994 with bachelor's degree in both
sports medicine and sports management.
He earned a master's degree in Physical
Education with a concentration in Athletic
Training from Ohio University in 1997.
He is a certified member of the National
Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and
state licensed by the Ohio Occupational
Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic
Trainers Board. He is also an
instructor for the American Red Cross for
CPR and First Aid.
Humphrey resides in Mount
Vernon with his wife, Erin, and their two
kids, Noah and Hanna. He is also an
assistant professor in the MVNU Physical
Education Department.
