Julie Burke is entering her sixth year of serving as the athletic department secretary at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.  Prior to that, she spent one year working in the MVNU church relations department.

Prior to coming to MVNU, Burke served for two years as the office assistant at New Albany First Church of the Nazarene.  She also spent five years as an executive assistant at the State of Ohio Department of Development.

Burke, who played one year of volleyball at MVNU, received her associate's degree in business in 1991.

Burke resides in Mount Vernon with her husband, Rick (also an alum and former MVNU basketball player), who serves as the director of the Technical Response Center at MVNU.  The couple has two daughters, Courtney and Lauren.
