Josh Robson, a junior forward on the Mount Vernon Nazarene College men's soccer team, has been selected as the American Mideast Conference and NAIA Region IX Player of the Week for the week of August 30-September 5.
Robson, a native of Mansfield, Ohio, led the Cougars to a 2-0 week by scoring a goal in each of the team's two matches. The former All-Ohioan at Madison High School opened the week with a goal in a 4-1 victory at Concordia (CA) University as MVNC finished off its 2-1 California trip.
Robson closed out the week by scoring the game-winning goal in the 78th minute of the Cougars' 2-1 non-conference victory over the College of Wooster.
For the season, Robson has scored a team-high five goals in four matches. He now has 37 goals in just two seasons at MVNC and ranks second on the Cougars' career list in that category.
