Keith Veale, the head coach of the Mount Vernon Nazarene College baseball team, is featured in the June 14th issue of Sports Illustrated in the "Faces in the Crowd" section.
Veale, who has compiled a 336-149 record in ten years at MVNC, guided the Cougars to a 40-15 overall record in 1999. The team also won their fourth National Christian College Athletic Association national title in the past five years and Veale was named the NCCAA National Coach of the Year for the fifth straight year.
Veale is the sixth MVNC player or coach to be featured in "Faces in the Crowd" in the last six years. He joins Wendy Rader (volleyball player), Paul Swanson (volleyball coach), Travis Gray (baseball player), Tara Seiter (volleyball player), and Andy Heimbach (baseball player) as previous honorees.
