The former Mount Vernon High School star is averaging 10.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per game while leading the team with 103 assists. Nussbaum has also canned 41 three-pointers and has moved into fourth place on the Lady Cougars’ career list with 98 treys.

Angie Trainer, a 5-foot-10 freshman guard/forward, was selected to the five-member AMC All-Freshmen Team. The Miami Trace High School product has contributed 9.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game in her first collegiate season. Trainer also leads the team in free throw shooting at 76.9 percent (83-of-108), and she is second on the squad with 48 steals.

Marlo Oyster, a 5-foot-11 senior forward from Gahanna, Ohio, was named to the AMC All-Academic Team. The former Gahanna-Lincoln High School player has compiled a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a Psychology major. Oyster is averaging 1.8 points and 1.0 rebounds per game this season.

MVNC is currently 13-12 overall this season, and the Lady Cougars finished AMC play with a 6-10 conference record as the team won its final three games. MVNC awaits word on who its first-round opponent will be in the National Christian College Athletic Association East Region Tournament.
