National Championship Format:
The NAIA Men's Golf National Championships consists of a team and an individual national championship. The team tournament is a 72-hole tournament played over four days. Competition is stroke play. Each team competes with five golfers and the top four scores posted each day are counted toward the team standings.

About Southern Hills Country Club...It will serve as the host of the 2001 U.S. Open Golf Championship. This celebrated club has hosted the 1995 and 1996 PGA Tour Championships, the 1977 U.S. Open, and the PGA Championship in 1970, 1982, and 1994.
